Marine Engineering....Building Ships, Bridges, Tunnels, Oil Derricks, Buoys, Submarines, even International phone cabling, etc.

If it's something that is in, on, or under the water, then a Marine Engineer is needed to design it and build it.

A marine engineer can also be shore-based, repairing and servicing boats in a boatyard, or ships in dry dock.

The marine engineer needs to be multi-skilled in everything from engines, electrics (both high and low voltage), boatbuilding, some electronics (although this is a separate marine speciality) and some carpentry.
