Look on the back of your dog food for feeding recommendations.

It depends on what kind of food you are feeding. You want to feed her 40-60 calories per pound, per day. It is best to feed your dog at least twice a day, splitting up her daily caloric needs into two meals. Based on my dog's calorie needs, She gets one cup of food three times a day, so a total of 3 cups per day. You should be able to find how many calories are in one cup of food on the back of the bag of food you are feeding. If it is not there, you can call the company, and they will be able to tell you.

Your dog's caloric needs may be a little higher or lower than recommended based on her activity level. If you feel that she is not getting enough, you can give her a little more, if you feel she is getting too much, you can cut it back a little. You can talk to your veterinarian about her weight, and if he/she thinks you are feeding her the right amount.

All these answers are great, but I have to go with the vet. Right now I have a mixture Pit and he is 115 pounds and in great shape, very active and playful. I feed him one human a day as I heard fresh meat is the way to go! lol, No about 2 cups twice a day. He seems happy!

Solid Gold Puppy the hundchen flocken I think... $60 for 33 lbs Innova Puppy $60 for 30 lbs Wellness Puppy $60 for 30 lbs Canidae is good food, but you want to feed a puppy puppy food because of the DHA. You want to be on puppy food until he is a year. Then I would move to EVO, Candiae Grain-Free or Solid Gold Barking at the Moon. Orijen is an exceptional food as well, but not available in my area :(

Some people feed their adult dogs dogs twice a day, others only once. A puppy should eat more often. No one can tell you exactly how much to feed your dog - it depends on the dog and on the food. Have a veterinarian weigh your dog and tell you if it is too fat or skinny, then adjust the food accordingly.

Get her on a good food like Canidae (this is cheap and easy to find) or any other food with no corn or wheat and feed her one and 3/4 cup every morning and evening. Easy as that. If you have any more questions or can not find Canidae send me a message and I'll try to find a good food in your area.

Well, lets start with is your pet overweight, underweight, or the correct weight. You cannot simply feed according to a weight chart - have your veterinarian evaluate her at her next regular veterinarian visit and ask for nutritional recommendations.

I'm 6' 11" and weigh 215 - my correct weight. If I were 5', I would be over weight - see what I mean.

about 2 cups twice a day, but a vet is the best way to go. They can let you know if she needs to be on a special feeding regiment.
