how is that people who don't believe in God, blame him for everything, and say why didn't God do anything about Katrina? Why did God let that kid go in and shoot students and teachers in school?? What about all the crime? But actually those people don' t want prayer in schools, and Dr. Spock tells us not to discipline our kids, his son committed suicide, and we wonder what is wrong with kids and why is all this bad stuff happening?? It must be God's fault, how if you don't believe in him and people fight so hard to keep in out of the equation. You can't blame someone you don't believe in. You don't want him involved maybe he has backed off and letting the chips fall where they may. People go to the supreme court to get God out of the pledge of alleigance. Be careful what you ask for.

Atheists DO NOT blame a god or otherwise for anything. How does one blame something that does not exist? Your view or knowledge of atheism is afoul my dear. Actually, it is the reverse. God fearing people are the ones that are blaming it on everyone else as usual. After all their god can't do anything wrong so it must be the non-believers.

People want that god out of the pledge because it promotes one viewpoint only. The assumption that your belief is the only belief is very wrong. Religious freedom is why people crossed the ocean and started colonies in America. They wanted freedom to worship. If you insist on having your prayers or bibles read in classrooms it defeats the premise or the reason our forefathers came here in the first place. Your churches are huge, there's one on every corner, go there and pray or have a prayer group. Pray with your families that have your beliefs, or taught them to you at home or church. Why should I or anyone have to share your views on religion.

We DO NOT ASK - we DEMAND, for the sake of freedom. Big difference. And while I am at it - who do you - or your belief system think they are that we should ASK? You are under their control, not us! We pay our taxes and don't have the freedom not to - but, your church gets away with it.

Anything in the name of a god is ok. Anything else is wrong!

The world is taking the name of God out of the sight of men. But one thing man can not do take him out of the heart of us. God is with us,and sense he is with us whom can come up against us.

Consider a drunk. They love to drink and drinks never getting enough. Drink until they pass out, they do not feel any pain. Do not care what is said about them. They can get loud and never feel embarrassed about anything said about them. They are boasters and have the courage to say something that others would never say. They stay up all night long drinking with a merry heart. Singing and dancing to their own tune. They do what ever they have the ability to do. You have to tie them up or bind them to get them to calm down yet they still yell or scream. They will fight you even if they weight 100 pounds less than the person they come against. They do not feel any pain. That is the way with some drug addicts as well.

except they don't - this is a well worn strawman you lot like to trot out

what they try to do is point out the illogic and consistencies of YOUR belief. YOU say your god saved that one baby from a tornado - I say that your god let thousands of children starve to death that day. this is not me suggesting that it's your non existant god's fault this is me trying to show how f**king nonsensical your beliefs are.

I mean it must take a new level of stupidity not to realise this

Yeah the whole world will collapse if you stop forcing kids to recite a pledge everyday - which btw everyone outside of the US finds creepy and weird beyond belief.

What is clear from your "question" is that you do not have any respect for any other belief but your own.

Those are rhetorical questions and they are intended for you to think over when they are asked.
Many Christians want to claim works miracles but they only ever point out really minor dumb stuff, or disasters.

So if God can do all this miracle healing a la Benny Hinn(a fraud) then how come he can't give amputees their limbs back?
I hope you understand the point of the questions now.

I dont blame him for any thing I think what you're talking about is when some thing like a natural dissaster happens they might say if there is a god why would he let that happen but I dont say that I know its a part of nature and no ones fault really and maybe global warming.

we dont blame him for anything, what were saying is, if an omnipotent benevolent being who knew it was going to happen, saw it coming, why did he do nothing? easy! cause he doesnt exist! we are using these as a basis for, if hes not benevolent, then so hes not god, therefor he does not exist.
and why should people be careful asking for that? I must agree that it is selfish to ask such a thing, but also a selfish thing for it to be in there for those who dont believe in it, yet to respect america they have to say it anyways.

Huh?

I don't believe in God. I don't 'blame' god, gods or goddesses for anything. Does that make you wrong?

You're making this up.

Unless you mean when atheists use 'OMG, or "God!!!, how could you DO this?!! (points to sticky-out leaf-littered dog poo on shoe) as an ironic exclamation.

But you couldn't mean that, could you?

I also say 'touchwood' for luck, although I don't believe touching wood does anything at all other than completing a little ritual in my head that relieves some superstitious 'tension' that peer culture has planted there in my tiny mind.

Much like the cultural transplants of 'deity's' names as vocal exclamations....

Actually, I think that they are posing the question in a retorical way. They are asking, "If God exists, why?"

As unbelievers, they can't accept that the world was created by a loving God, yet because of our rebellion he allows terrible things to happen. Their ignorance of spiritual things, won't allow them to see that some bad things grow when bad things are planted. They don't understand that the spiritual realm has a great impact on the physical.

Don't be upset with them. As Jesus prayed, we should pray aswell "Father forgive them. They know not what they do"

You're not particularly bright, are you? Those of us who do not believe in god do not blame "him" for anything. You, obviously, do not understand the concept. Perhaps, consulting a dictionary would be in order.

Furthermore, since you have such a ranting desire to blame god, perhaps you should reconsider your own flimsy position. Eh?

I don't. Why would I blame something that doesn't exist for a natural disaster or other tragedy? You're misunderstanding their question. What they are asking of you is to explain, since you believe in God, why you believe in a God that would allow tragedies to happen.
