My boyfriend is out of town and he let me borrow his truck. It is a brand new F150, and noone else has ever driven it. I was just driving it and I accidently backed into another truck. I guess the other guys damage wasnt too bad, cause he drove off. The plastic part of the bumper is scratched but you can't really tell. There is a chip of black paint about as big as a pinky nail missing from the actual truck part in the back. You can't really see it, unless you look really close. There were some white marks around the paint chip, so I tried to buff those out and they came off, but only to leave little tiny scratches in their place. If I didn't tell him, I don't know if he'd ever notice, but if he did, he'd be able to tell that someone tried to fix it---so it couldn't be played off like I didnt know. If I tell him I dont know whether to tell him now over the phone or wait till he comes back in a month. If I tell him over the phone, he may think it is alot worse. Idk what 2 do

Be honest, He'll forgive you i'm sure, he might get angry but he'll get over it, Its not something to big and im sure it will be okay. Don't tell him on the phone, wait till he gets back so he can see it himself

If trust is important to the both of you, tell him. It sounds pretty minor. If he gets angry, he gets angry -- he'll get over that.

Welcome to adulthood, where being responsible, despite popular media coverage of those who wantonly are not, is still an expected part of the experience. Measure up.

Tell him or he wont trust you ever again to be honest. So what if he gets mad, he is allowed. He will get over it if he cares for you. If you cant count on that then you shouldnt be with him anyway.

TELL HIM. If you dont, he may never trust you again to lend you stuff. It may seem scarier, but telling is healthier for the relationship.
