No they are in business to make money People who need the drugs may not have the money to buy the meds need to know about this so when they advertise they hear about it and can get it cheaper. I do not think mental health drugs are in the category of $4.00 meds- If you live in the states where there are Publix Grocery stores they give FREE antibiotics see if you need free antibiotic and did not know it if i did not advertise it you would not know it

Firstly I have to apologies to, thisisme. I accidental thumbs you down it should have been up, so I'm sorry about that. I also think that it's good that you get medications cheaper. I live in a part of Britain that means all prescriptions are now free, but many post on here from America and say how they can't afford the medication they need, that is just so upsetting. I therefore think that if people get the treatment they need at a price they can afford that's bloody marvelous not in bad taste.

Au' contraire! It's a fabulous program and should be highly advertised!

I know of hundreds of clients, mostly senior citizens, who don't fill their prescriptions because they can't afford the medication that's needed to help keep them healthy - alive!

When you only have a limited income, have paid your monthly bills and have only enough left over to buy either groceries or medicine --- which are you going to buy? Most folks have no other option than to buy groceries and skip the drugs.

Thanks to programs, like that offered at Walmart, many persons can now afford to eat and take the drugs that keep them alive. It's a win - win situation, both for the consumer and Walmart.

not at all, it is a blessing to the elderly who can't get full prescription coverage, and also the under income people who the system fails many times. I am glad to know their are programs out there. Seeing that advertisement, I have reccomended quite a few people.

why would it be in bad taste?
mental illness is as valid as any other illness,
mental health drugs do exist in generic forms,
walmart sells generic drugs for 4 bucks.
why would that be anything but a win win situation? walmart makes money, they win, mental health patients get the medications they need for less in many instances.
tasteless? only if you are predjudiced against those with a mental illness.

look i think it is a great thing because some places don't even have a program like that. and some people can not afford their medications. because they are so high priced. and yes i can afford my medication.but some people cant. like my dad because he lost his job he now cant afford his medication. and he takes over 30 diffrent pills and they are all around 100.00 each. but now that walmart made it possible for him to get his meds. he has crrohns its a cancer. that eats your insides.but meds helped him live longer. and he is still here. but that is good taste not bad taste. and wal_mart treats their workers good as long as you do your job. if not then thats your fault if you get treated wrong. my mother works at walmart and gets treated right.

I'm sorry that you think this is in bad taste. To me it is a Godsend. I have MS and have had a stroke and am on many medicines and anytime medicine is cheaper for me that's great. I know the elderly appreciate it. Sometimes you have to choose whether to eat or take you pills. Believe me I have been there.

A bit. I think that they would get more buisness if they treated their workers better, and advertised the normal way.

I'm acutally quite mad at them right now, because they are ripping people off with their Gutair Hero 3.If you want to get it, go somewhere else, not Walmart. It's quite a rip off, they're giving people the wrong bundles.

Soorry if it's a bit off topic.

I don't think advertising a $4 prescription program is bad taste anywhere, given the outrageous cost of them today...

EDIT: Kitty, thank you for telling me; no harm, I gave you a thunmbs up for being honest, that is very rare! (0:

You need to edit and say the reason you are against this. You have to have a prescription to get these drugs...so it's not like they're encouraging drug abuse. Please tell us the reason you are against it.
