Personally?
No.
It's why I'm an atheist.
If a human tried it I would reach the same emotional plateau at which point I'd use some choice, albeit rather crude, gutter-speak involving sex and travel.
Yes; it's the exact same proposal the Pascal's Wager pushers are selling.
How can you take that leap from knowing something is patently untrue to >>> talking to and about an invisible and or imaginary guy in the sky ... with 'love'.
There's gotta be a whole lotta faking going on.
Although I can understand that people FEAR this (not even an) apparition.
If you have a 'weak' brain or you are easily lead, like a sheep, and 'knowing' there's an invisible man in the sky who watches everything you think, do and say, 24/7 and you believe that he will send you to hell if you don't love and suck up to him, I'm sure you will say anything to assure an after-life of perceived comfort.
I still maintain that a theist is basically a coward who finds life difficult without an invisible friend to ‘help’ him walk through reality.

pascal's wager is suppose to persuay people to believe since his points are
if u believe, u have everything to gain and nothing to lose because if u are right and God exists, then u will live in eternal happiness, but if u are wrong then u will die the same way as if u never believed
and if u dont believe, u have everything to lose and nothing to gain since if u are right, u just die.....but if u are wrong, then u go to hell
that seems like a scare tactic in my opinion....
but here's the atheist's wager
"You should live your life and try to make the world a better place for your being in it, whether or not you believe in God. If there is no God, you have lost nothing and will be remembered fondly by those you left behind. If there is a benevolent God, he may judge you on your merits coupled with your commitments, and not just on whether or not you believed in him."
it is the exact opposible to Pascal's Wager
Both wagers make opposite assumptions
Pascal's Wager:
God will only allow u to enter heaven if u believe
Athiest's Wager:
If God truely exists, then what u do with ur life will out weigh whether or not u believed in him....
i personally believe atheist's wager makes more sense

No. I would hate them more and more each time they tried. I guess you have a good point. You can't force someone to believe any more than you can force them to love you.

Someone already tried that...even to the point of locking me in his garage.
After I ran over his feet and drove through the garage door I still did not love him like I should. (according to him)
Point is if this were a human/human relationship it is considered insane to try to make some one love you...but in the aspects of god/human it is suppose to just come naturally...

On a human level you could, but the heart will never be forced into feeling something that is not given from above.

You can neither force anyone to love or believe but in same you can grow to love or believe. But belief comes in several forms.
