What is th best 45 mm digital camera out there?
I want to buy wife for Christmas. Canon?

There is no such thing as a "45mm digital camera". Perhaps you meant 4.5 megapixel?

I'm guessing you mean 35 mm and while there is not such digital SLR, many use the term 35mm dSLR to describe digital SLR cameras that allow you to use interchangeable lenses, external flashes and so much more. It would be hard to go wrong with an entry level Nikon or Canon, such as the Canon XTi. Sony makes a nice one, also. I'd go to a camera store and see which ones you like. Does she want a digital SLR or would she be happy with a compact, full-featured digital camera?
