at first i wanted to do my hair in a mohawk (without cutting it) but i dont think that will work because my hair is fairly long and has layers. so im looking for a cute way to wear my hair for halloween thats punk and sexy. lol.

you should do that my hair is long as well and it is a mohawk as I speak. It is about 7 8 inch tall. use a hair spray called got 2 be it is the strongest thing out there blow dry when you spray so it stiffens. good luck rock on!

You could look up the option of doing it in a variation of a mohawk - where you tease and backcomb it until you can put it up in ponytail holders in the shape of a mohawk.
You could do a pouffed pony, too - as long as you get height on the pouff you should be good.
Another easier way that's more casual is the piece-y, texture-y look, kinda mussed/bedhead.It may take a little work to get it looking sexy instead of just...messy, but punk can pull off messy, too. :) Good luck!

You can get some hair spray and a comb then get your comb and spike it up then if you hair is fairly long get some black hair clips to put it in place.Then you can be a Halloween punk. :P

Use moose(dont know how to spell it) double your hair up in spikes in the middle in mohawk style and keep the rest moosed straight down the sides.

Depends on your outfit color. But maybe on the top layers spray it red and spike it. leave the rest down. Watch the music video to I dont like your girlfriend on youtube. I hope I helped

Tie loads of neon pink and green thread into your hair. Takes a while but it will give you the desired look.

Elmer's glue! It will allow you to put even long hair into a mock hawk and comes out with hot water.

Uh like spike the tips of it then get pink hair spray.
