You should have cool, fresh water available 24/7 for your dog, regardless of breed. He/she will drink when they wish.

He should have clean, fresh water available to him at all times. Are you water rationing? Dogs tend to be gulpers if they are rationed water since they generalize that they may never get it again so they will gulp it all down. Leave water out for him - why not? I keep buckets of fresh water in the yard and in the kitchen and on the sun porch and the dogs all know they will not be without water if they want/need it. Doesn't matter what breed a dog is, they all need water available at all times -- actually it is neglect not to do so in most areas.

Fresh water should always be available. Dogs will not drink too much and it is important that they have access to water at all times to avoid dehydration. In the heat of summer adding ice cubes to the water is refreshing for your pet.

What kind of question is this? It says on the back of every dog treat and food container that you should always have fresh, clean water out for you dog. I thought this was common sense, but I guess not...

Your pit should have fresh water available to him at all times. Fill an old ice cream bucket and put it next to his food dish, and make sure it always has plenty of water in it.

Dogs should always have access to water. I change my dogs water about 2-3 times a day, sometimes more if it gets dirty.

I leave water down until 2hours before bed. That way, no accidents! It is nice to keep a general idea of how much she does drink, though, so you will notice any increase in drinking, which can indicate many things.
