Without educated people, I'd agree, but why not educated Americans?
I am really torn on H1Bs because so many are used for outsourcing and end runs of the hiring of US citizens. If they close those holes and STILL need more people I'd be ok with lifting the cap some, but not to the point of allowing everyone with a nonimmigrant student visa to get one on graduation, such as the bills I have seen are suggesting.
Before I would even consider raising the number, though, I think outsourcing use needs to be banned, American recruitment and retraining needs to be better protected, and those companies that have abused the visas need to be barred from getting any more.
What is happening now as I understand it is that they are being used to undercut US wages, particularly as the US workforce ages and commands better wages. If they don't have enough young US workers to undercut the senior techies, they want to bring in cheap foreign workers rather than retrain our own guys.
Close the problems, then lets consider more visas.

Disagree. The only reason educared immigrants are being toasted around town is because they will work for less money.
We have engineers, computer geeks, etc right here in the US that cant find jobs because jobs are being shipped over seas!

I disagree because we should be demanding more from our educations systems to give our kids better training. We should also as parents be placing a priority on education and study rather then designer clothes and electronics.

I disagree - since a large proportion of these immigrants received their training in American institutions, and if not immigrants - Americans would surely fill any void left.
