Was he maybe thinking, this might not be a good idea?

What? Oh, God didn't create Satan? Oh, he created him, but didn't know he would turn out bad?

Well okay, that explains it I guess.

if the Christian god exists and is truly omnipotent and all-knowing, then he deliberately created the Christian satan.

if the Christian god exists and is truly omnipotent but not all-knowing, then he accidentally created the Christian satan.

if the Christian god exists and is not omnipotent but is all-knowing, then he either could have prevented the creation of the Christian satan but did not - or the Christian satan is an equal fellow god, and Christianity is not a monotheistic system.

if the Christian god exists and is neither omnipotent nor all-knowing, then the bible is false.

So either god is responsible for satan in some form or another, or Christians admit that their god and their satan are basically peers in a duotheistic system.

This verse sums it up nicely. "You are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father. That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of [the lie]." (John 8:44; Ezekiel 28:13-15)

When Satan was created, he was just like the other perfect angels in heaven who gave sacred service to God and followed his instructions. However, he became vain and wanted to have worship for himself, not for God where it belonged.

While it is true that God has the ability to look into the future to see what will happen, he doesn't choose to do that all the time. To illustrate, if there is a body builder who can lift very heavy objects, does he go around lifting everything in sight that is heavy, or does he choose to lift certain objects when he feels he needs to? The same is true of God.

He didn't know Satan would turn out bad. When Satan turned out bad, god decided to see what happens.

Satan wasn't the Devil at first, he was one of Gods Angels... but Lucifer wanted to be God, but God said no, and they had a battle in Heaven, and Lucifer went to Hell, so he is the "god" of Hell in a way. so God didn't make Satan at first. it was Lucifers free will that made him Satan
