Since there is not god then that would be difficult. I t would like feeling the absence of a snow storm in the middle of a desert

As someone who's into Taoism,I don't find
the thought of the non-existence of god that frightening.
I find it more of a comfort actually.
Why on Earth would you want to go to some place
in the clouds and get your balls busted in front of
a bunch of angels all because you said"Goddam,I hate
you Dad for grounding me back in 1976?"
If I had to sit there and listen to all of the horrible things
I have done or said I would loop it,big time.
Finally,If I want to be berrated constantly,I need
look no further than people I know here on the Earthly plane. They will do it for me,And I don't even have to die first.

I have never felt the presence of the god of Abraham, but I that does not convince me that he does not exist. He is after all an absentee deity.

ADD: I even went to Promise Keepers with my future (now no longer) father in law. I was surrounded by tens of thousands of devout, fervent Christians.

I felt tons of peer pressure to step forward and say that I felt the presence of their god, but I was unwilling to lie for them.

I have however felt the presence of my god.

Of course!

This is part of the Christian experience. Even Jesus felt it (I know the ignorant will jump on that) when he was on the cross.

But if you know that God knows you very deeply, just keep on trudging along and you will be refreshed by the Holy Spirit.

If you are waiting for Ch. and Vr. from me, forget it. but listen to the spirit and Know that he is God.

Read the scriptures for strength and read them again. Then read the same vrs. again. Pray without stopping, which means wherever you are, send some inside thought to your creator, your savior.

yes, there was a time in my life when I thought he left me, till I noticed it was me who left him :(
the best way to explain it ...

Footprints In The Sand

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: on belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you´d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
i don´t understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

I did feel once that satan was walking next to me. I had done something that I felt guilty about, because I did do something wrong. But God was not absent from me. I even grew more spiritually strong because I leaned on God even more.

God is only absent if we leave His presence. All of us feel His absence at times.
God will be absent in Hell.

yes while i was atheist.. but then to be honest i noticed more of a prescence of the devil..

many people here will disagree and that is there right. we are all different.. but i believe now u can always check the validity of god by checking if the devil exists

Yes. It was during the worst time of my life and it was me who pulled away from God- not the other way around.
I actually cursed God and told him how much I hated him.
I hope I never fall that low again.
