Hey...White Castle is a Chicago thing and I highly doubt Californians would appreciate them. Just like Old Style beer and hot dogs without ketchup. FYI....they just opened a White Castle in my small town of West Dundee (near Elgin) this past weekend and I went there for lunch today. YUM!!!! I can't imagine what you go through to find a good pizza. It's probably non-existent in Cali. Sorry!

I miss Whities too !
I live in AZ now and also have tried the frozen ones, definitely not the same.
Maybe if you know someone that still lives in Ind. or IL, you can get them to ship some to you. White Castle will never open a store outside the Midwest or East . Unfortunately!
I have a recipe for what they call " mock white castles " haven't tried it yet but, you can get the recipe online.

White Castle is still family-owned. It is run by the grandson of the man who founded it in 1921 in Wichita, Kansas. I think they do not want to franchise the business so they keep the restaurants in the Midwest.

You can also get White Castle merchandise at its website:

White Castle began in the 50's and I have no idea why they never thought of having some in some parts of the US.

Most Californians eat healthy I guess. That's why Whitey's won't move out there. Besides, if they moved out there, would you be in here talking to us back in Chicago?

If you knew what those hamburgers were really made from, you would NOT miss them anymore! Yes, it comes from a cow, but it is not any part you would think of! Disgusting.
