He told me not to get offended if I can't handle the truth. Granted, I asked, but then I couldn't help but to be offended. I just thought I was a bit clumsy. I tell people that I like to read when I first meet them. It's just hard to balance people's opinions when you get nervous.

I went to a party. (I'm kind of an introvert) and it was an interesting experience for me. This was the morning afterward. Sorry, it's hard to articulate my thoughts on here. Rambling on about the details of the when and where and whatnots.

People tend to judge a book by its cover, that´s the way it is. Though if your friend states you come across as a bimbo, it confuses me. If you say you come across as clumsy and tell people you like to read, I´d have expected him to say you come across as a nerd rather than a "bimbo", which I associate with fake blonde bunny looks.
Best thing now would be to talk to your boyfriend. Men sometimes put things in a way that makes you feel offended even though they don´t intend to offend you. :) Ask him to explain why he said that (or why he thinks that) - maybe he can point out to you in a way ("When you said... " or "You were doing ... and it seemed as if you were....").
Make him talk. :)

Huh??? You don't have to take that crap from anyone. Being your boyfriend does not give him a license to run you down.
I would seriously question his little assessment. I would also question whether it's worth sticking with a guy who takes a cheap shot at you and then says that if you can't handle the truth that's your problem. It's not the truth, it's just his freakin' opinion, and it's not very kind.
And by the way, truth and kindness are not mutually exclusive.
He is messing with your head. Tell him to cut it out. If he doesn't, and he keeps trying to undermine your self-confidence or self-image, kick him to the curb.
Tell him he's an inconsiderate jerk. If he gets mad tell him he should be able to handle the truth without getting offended.

This is the definition of bimbo:
bim·bo [ bÃmbÅ ] (plural bim·bos) noun
1. an offensive term for an attractive woman who is regarded as unintelligent and shallow
2. an offensive term for a man or woman who is regarded as unintelligent or superficial
First of all, your boyfriend could have been a bit more tactful. But then again, he may be a bit of a bimbo himself (see #2 above).
I bet you are NOT unintelligent, shallow or superficial, but I would venture a guess and say that you are attractive. Could your boyfriend be saying these things because he feels that you may leave him in the future? Is he holding you back and calling you these mean things because he thinks it will hold you to him? Maybe you should leave this bimbo and find yourself a nice guy who likes you for who you are.

If what your saying is true then thats kind of a mean thing to say. Being clumsy doesn't rate being called a bimbo.

If he thinks that, why is he your boyfriend? I'm an extrovert. I talk to everyone. I'm not flirting, just being friendly. He didn't like it because he was controlling & then abusive. Be yourself.

His choice of words was appalling.
Continue to be yourself or does he get to decide what he considers to be appropriate behaviour for you.
Good grief.
