Well like it says would anyone here take the risk and hop ship and just jet somewhere else? I mean I live near Daytona and it really sucks here. No one is hiring and the economy has gone down the drain. Would anyone here just go be like whatever and take the risk and move?

I did that, I moved from the UK with my young family and moved to the States. I got days where I thought "what have I done?" or "That's it I going home to England, now!" But I am still here, learning to adapt, the move has definitely made me a more confident person.

You don't say how old you are or what particular ties you have in Daytona. If you are not approaching your dotage and if you have no one in your life who will be lost without you, I'd say moving is your best possibility. However, the country is on the verge of a massive recession so you'd better do it quick while some cities still have jobs.

I'd take steps to minimize the risk by researching the area I planned to move to, line up a job and place to live before I get there, etc.

One thing to remember that every part of a sinking ship sinks. Even if one "jets" to a higher part of the ship, it too will sink. So all I can say is put on your life vest and start paddling.

If you are single yes I would take the risk. Why not try to see if it would be better in the big cities such as LA, NYC or Chicago. Big cities usually have more opportunities.

Sure. I have moved in my lifetime.....

From Georgia to Indiana (2 different cities).
From Indiana to Texas (2 places cities).

You just do it. You just pick a spot, and go.
