Well, I have been there done that. TIPS....poop samples must be within 20 minutes to an hour, or possibly frozen. I have had to do that test 3 times on one dog. The blood in the stool can be shedding of cells, and my vet said it isn't anything to worry about unless there is a lot of blood. A few blood strings is ok...Since you are taking the dog to the vet call them on Monday and explain what you have explained, and ask them about the stool testing. Now, the gel like stool, which would be very sticky, is a pain to deal with. Generally, this is diet, but, could be from the dewormer. The dog could have a sensitive system. I would try for today and until you take him to the vet.....Boil boneless skinless chicken breasts, in about 1 1/2 cups water for about 25 min. When done, remove them to a plate to cool, add about 1/3 cup of rice to the liquid, cover and let the rice cook until completely done. Chop up the chicken and add it back into the cooked rice. Hopefully there isn't too much liquid left. It shouldn't be soupy. Serve this to the dog maybe am and pm until you take him to the vet. He will love it...also, it will settle his system down and hopefully stop the gel like stools. Like I said been there done that with a sickly dog for years. It always helped.

Take your dog to a Vet who can do a fecal test and blood test to find out what may be wrong with your dog. There are a wide variety of things that can cause this. Since he was de-wormed, I'm guessing this was with OTC product rather than by Vet. Otherwise you'd have called your Vet to ask. Since this could be a bacterial infection, parasites- including giardia that is not addressed adequately with de worming meds, or it could be something viral- your Vet can check the dog and get your dog treated with the right product/medication in safe, effective dosage.

Glad your taking such good care of your new little puppy. Until you can get to the vet, have you tried looking in google about dewormer products? maybe they can let you know that this is a normal thing while taking the product. Good luck to you and your little pupppy.

What kind of food does he eat, if it is dry, it is not normal and i would take him to a vet. If it is a special formula that is wet food it is normal for it to be slimyish, but not normal for it to have red streaks, either way i would take him to a vet! (Good luck with you puppy!)

I am not sure this is normal. He could have ate garbage, or somthing like that. Somthing that wasn't suppose to be eaten. Even if your appointment is next week, I think you should call your vet. They have better advice. Good Luck with your puppy (:
