I have a miniature dachshund and at first I named her Zoey. Then my whole family and I started calling her Boo for some reason. Is that a normal name? She responds to bothe Zoey and Boo so we call her both but is Boo ok?

I read in a book that the name you shouldn't name your dog is Noel, because everytime you say no, he will think that you are calling him. I think Boo is cute and easy to remember. Just don't pronounce Boo too much like no..

as long as you are comfortable yelling BOO in the middle of the Park, or from your doorstep, when she thinks its funny to run.
Boo is fine, so is Zoey, There are a lot worse names out there inflicted on poor pets

its a nickname, who cares what it is..lol..i have a billion and one nicknames for my dog. sure some would find them silly or even weird but who cares. i'll tell you this and then you can decide if Boo is ok or not. i have a neighbor who has a chihuahua and its name is Boobie..swear to God! Boo doesn't sound too bad now does it?

Yes it's a good name. As long as she responds to her name, it doesn't matter if you have nicknames for her. However, if she seems to be confused, try to stick with one name especially if she's a puppy and learning new things all the time.

I had a horse named Jim Jump. I didn't purposely name him that but he looked like a foal in a book I had as a child. The name stuck, but when he grew up and years later, it seemed silly. But he went to his grave with the name many years later and he will always be my Jim Jump :)

i think Boo is fine, we have a cat named BooBoo.
i think its adorable, and deffinetly normal, i've heard many animals named Boo or Boo Boo. =)

It's a good name if you like it, We have a dog named Charlie who answers, to Charlie, Charles, Chuck and buddy.
A dogs name is what you make it!
