If I wanted to do that, how would I go about giving myself Best Answer?????

I was only being facetious here.
If people answer their own question in their details, obviously they think they have the best answer over all the others. I'm wondering how they pick themselves. I don't know. Maybe I'll try it sometimes. hmmmm.

I can't answer that one but, let's face it, there are those people who think they know the answer to everything.

The strange thing is why they need to ask the questions in the first place.

I'd give you 'best answer' without hesitation!

The only way to do that even close is to vote for those people who say "right on, I agree"
Everyone knows that all you would want is a pat on the back and a little confirmation (its always pleasing to know that there are other "fruitcakes" out there)
There is always the multiple account option...which I swear is done a few times as well!!

Smiles...Good question!

You can't answer your own questions and you can't give yourself best answer, and you can't rate your own answer. I think that they do this to keep some people from doing this to get extra points. There is really no sense to asking a question on this site if you already have the best answer.

You can't give yourself best answer. Accounts are made to avoid that, since someone could presumably just use such a method to give themselves lots of points or change their ratings. Very unethical.

You could follow the path so many before have followed - make a second account and trade best answers.

That won't work. Just click profile. Go through all your answers and if you see one unresolved vote for it. Most people are too idle to vote - so that one vote may get you top answer!

*snort* You just make another account, use that account to "answer" your question by blindly agreeing with whatever you say and then give the dummy account best answer.
It happens all the time on here.

some people answer the question and then give best answer to whoever agrees with the answer they gave
