marine engineering deals with technical details of the engine and the ship, unlike nautical science which deals with sailing and voyaging .both has good scopes, by studying marine engg you can become chief engineer in the long run and by studying nautics u can become captain of the ship in the long run.selecting which suits best for u is upto u.any how best of luck.

It really depends on where (what country) you get the degree from (and maybe where you intend to work). A B. Tech degree from a USA school will generally not be considered on par with a BS degree. But a B. Tech from India or a European country is generally considered to be the equivalent (even if you intend to work in the USA). Both will open doors. And both will allow you to get a Master's degree should you wish to add something to your education.

IN B.Tech u will be on engineering dept in B.SC nautical u will be a seaman........both have gud career prespective.....
