I got a tattoo a couple of months ago and it's mostly all black, it's a cross. I wanted to get some white ink put in to make some celtic knots. My question is, would the white ink show up over black?

White works out with tattooing most appropriately as a highlighting color. If you want something additional, ask the artist to come up with some ideas after tracing out your existing tattoo - it is always easy to add something around the cross and then maybe throw in some complimentary highlighting throughout the cross itself for balance.

This would likely be the only atistic option - putting white Celtic knots over the black is not really going to work out for you.

It depends on your skin and how much of your tattoo will be exposed to the sun. White is really hard to show up on your skin. Discuss it with the artist that did your cross and the artist will be able to tell you if white will withstand on your skin.

i'm pretty sure it will. i would just go back to the place you got your tattoo and ask them about adding white and see what they say.
