Honestly, it's been translated SO many times, it's lost it's meaning. And ever think it was just a story? I mean really, women are hated because EVE was convinced by a TALKING SNAKE to eat an apple of a certain tree...oh, ya, EVERY women on earth should be punished for something like that. ya. ok. so if one black person steals something, EVERY black person on this earth should suffer?

And it's written like a story..with metaphors and all..but people take them SERIOUSLY...the earth was made in 7 days...people believe that??? It was MEANT to say 7 billion years or something...if it wasn't..well it proves my point even more that it's fiction.

And why is being gay so bad? Sure, they can't make kids, but we dont need more kids anyway! They adopt! HELLO?? So if being gay is 'satans' doing, then its not THEIR fault! Being gay is natural ANYWAY if you knew anything about science. ANIMALS have been gay.

SO if I just GAVE you a book and told you god wrote it..you'd believe me? because thats what the church is doing..and holy crap its actually WORKING??

Lady phoneix, you've answered some of my questions before, and you've always been so ignorant in your answers. I am not 'angry' I am WONDERING. gees. In anoth one of my questions I said "my god" as in the god I believe, and you went ON and ON about how you hate when people say that. Do you have anything good to say?

I believe in more then just the bible and one god and of course most of us don't take everything literally there is an explanation for everything many things in the bible are true but because it was changed and translated so much it kind of got lost within the translation. Women are not hated it is speaking about suffering that women go through and men as well but for the most part on eve's part. The snake was to represent evil and eve to represent a person who was manipulated easily she had just been brought into the garden so she would not have understood. But it also has scientific meanings in it as well once you think about it. There is nothing wrong with being of a different orientation at all of course animals are born that way humans are animals as well and we all have a right to live here. The bible might have been refering to the guests and how they would have been treated and how they were angels. The bible is thousands of years old of course it is going to be different but different people will always have different views some believe in some things and others believe in other things it is a choice.

I would say that the Bible has a lot of Historical Info, but
when it comes to things pertaining to " Supernatural "
Events, much has been made up from The Church to
Control people for "Monetary Gain" mixed with offers of
" Salvation " for "Consolement of Mind". The Stories from
The Bible were written originally from Ancient Sumerian
sources, and Copied on down by the other Nations as time
passed, thereby Changing Deieties Names( GODS) to
suit there own needs.

The reason for the bible to have a special meaning is the same as for everything else in the world: "That it exists".

Let us say that you have some friends, and you make your friends believe that they just got a message from their parents, they believe you because they find trust in you, but they do not consider if the message has the same essence as the supposed source (the parents). With this message you put your friends into a covenant to serve you.

So later your friends are alerted and they produce also a message that takes that covenant away and solves their problems. Even if the message would have been produced by them, that still would have been the wish and will of the parents as they came to know them.

In such a way when it is said : Who kills by the (Sword) word must die by the (Sword) word.

The devil tricked men into believing that God would kill them for their sins according to the Old Testament so also did evil men on his side.

In Jesus story men are told that God is merciful and loving, the one who killed by the word, being destroyed by the word in the end. The meaning and essence of the Father God is restored by the message of love and peace, justice is made to the evil ones, and the message is true due to the essence of the same.

As if your son would say: "That would have been my father's last wish" . He did not say it but you know that would have been his words. So according to the essence, He inspired those words to you.

Somebody might add to them, but you would know because his essence lives in you.

I believe the Bible is more of a historic record of things that have happened and a set of prinicples to live by. I have homosexual aquintances, but I do not condone their practice. They are my friends for the individuals they are and they know and respect my feelings on this as I do theirs. I do not persecute homosexuals. Talking to my aquaintances they told me they were ashamed for being how they were in the beginning, but came to accept it. They said many of the gay friends were the same. My conclusion is as such. If someone is ashamed of how they are, then what makes it right? After Eve ate the fruit and then Adam were they not made aware they were naked and that shamed them because they believed at that time they were exposed.
Not all women in the bible were hated. Many were considered heroes. Ruth was very loved, as was Mary (God's chosen) Hester saved her people from persecution and ultimately death. Many women were loved in the bible. Sorry to say but sterotyping is an American tradition. I cannot stand it, but it is a fact. Blacks are stereotyped as theives or gang members. Mexicans and latins are stereotyped as white people are as well.

It's a choice I made. The Bible says to "test me (God) and know that I am true". I did, and He proved Himself to me over and over again. I decided that a) God is willing and able to keep His Word true, even through translations and b) That His Word is there to help me live a happier and more fulfilling life.

Why is being homosexual wrong? Because sexual perversion is wrong. Fornication is wrong, bestiality is wrong, pedophilia is wrong and so on and so forth. God wants His people to be happy, not torn up by guilt and a feeling that something is terribly wrong with them. I've known many homosexuals and every one of them was constantly struggling with their sexuality and the fact that it put them outside of society's norms. They weren't happy with it. (By the way, they were my friends, just as my daughter who choses to fornicate is still deeply loved and accepted by me. I don't like her choices. I pray for her to "see the light" but I am there for her and I don't preach at her.)

Just because the freeway is a smooth hard surface that would bounce a ball nicely doesn't make it a good place for a child to play. Well, following the precepts of the Bible is similar good sense. I've never regretted my choice to believe and follow its teachings.

Honestly, the Bible has not been retranslated from anything except the original text. The original language is in ancient hebrew and koine greek, therefore it only needs to be translated once into whatever language it needs to be read in.

I don't think people hate women because of Eve, Adam was with her and just as much, if not more, at fault.

Do you not see parallels in your own life of human concepts. All historical events, especially the events of The Bible can transcend themselves to teach us a lesson. Look back to your own history.

Homosexuality is as wrong as premarital sex, yet you see people doing that all the time and getting away with it. Why do people make homosexuality a big deal? Just don't do it.
