Well, if it's beyond a parent spanking a child (if that's your preferred way of discipline) then, yes, it's absolutely horrible.
The last thing we need is another Hitler or another Pol Pot!

They should, I do! Children can not defend themselves. I believe in God, but I also agree with 1st answer 100%. I think God gave man the ability to invent and discover medical cures with the amazing and complex brain He has given us. There is no excuse for not making sure a child is not given medical treatment. God aside, I believe everyone is more upset when a someone hurts a child.

people who hurt children generally upset me, yes.
And in the spirit of keeping this r/s specific- some who hurt children make me wish there was a hell.
*i'm assuming that's a typo, generally it's the child who gets upset over 'weaning' :)

Of course we do. A child is innocent and does not deserve being hurt. If we can't protect the innocent, who can we protect?

Absolutely!!!!! I know I do! God does too, the Bible says. They are just defenseless, little creatures. What kind of monster would hurt a child for any reason?

I think that's a no-brainer.
And denying them proper medical attention in favour of faith-healers, or denying blood transfusions when necessary should be considered child abuse.
