15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The jewish culture considers descendancy to be based on the seed of the man...

but this verse clearly shows that God is talking about the SEED OF A WOMAN-
thus the Virgin Birth without man's seed

sadly this is also one reason why some jewish people reject Christ as the messiah since they expect him to come from the house of david--- they believe it has to be from the male ancestral line.

but if you study the book of luke.. it is clear that Jesus lineage was traced backwards from mary's ancestral line, rather than from joseph
thats also why its different lineage compared to that in matthew.
people think its a contradiction. haha.

Book Of Genesis
Chapter 3

15 I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.

"She shall crush"... The sense is the same: for it is by her seed, Jesus Christ, that the woman crushes the serpent's head.
