you guys are way to stressed out, you take everything so seriously. you know you can get wrinkles, get fat, and lose hair from that right?
so take your nose at of that one book you read and go have some fun, watch comedy central, and chill.

good lord, still some of you taking this question way to seriously, and its a joke, not a haha funny joke, but a joke. to all the up tight people that will come back to this and read this, when i say most, i mean, most of you religious people that answer on here, I asked a joke question earlier that was in no way against the rules on yahoo and you uptight reliligous people reported me, and the one book you all read guy, i said one book as in relating to the one book that each religion follows, not one universal book, although thats a good idea, in fact it kind of exsistes, its called math, the language of the universe, read up on it, its the gateway to knowing the universe.

Because it many subjects the when made fun of are taken as an attack on their entire beliefs.
Beliefs are very dangerous as they are tied to our identity and ego. For them their beliefs are not negotiable. Unlike scientific theories which can be debated. The bible is TRUE AND A FACT. A contradictory or funny comment let alone a rational debate is an insult to God.
In everyone there is a line where you just don't cross. With some Christians that line is a lot easier to cross.

first of all I am religious, and both myself and my deity can take a joke.
That said, just because someone strings together a series of profanities, and calls it a stand up comedy routine that does not make them funny.
I watch South Park religiously, pun intended, and I enjoy it, because between the sh*t counter, and Cartman's Dry Balls, and Chef's salty ones, the show has a plot, with humor and a point.
Now on the other hand, Family Guy, Drawn Together and Sarah Silverman just annoy the hell out of me because its random uselessness, and stupidity. I'm sorry but Flashbacks illustrating verbal puns, babies flinging dirty diapers at the wall in a 'wacky wall walker race', and a woman licking her dog's nuts because the dog did it, makes no sense, and doesn't work as nonsense comedy, its crude, disgusting and stupid, and pretending to be comedy, simply because people laugh at the "Oh my, I can't believe, they said that and got away with it"

I am religious and I love to read all kinds of books. You'll often find me at the movies, and I love comedy central! True, some religious people are WAY too uptight, but there are extremes in every group/click/religion. Not everyone is the same.

In every religion there there are the extremists- I wouldn't say that all religious people have no sense of humor. Just as there are atheists that are uptight w/o a sense of humor that can get wrinkles ( mine are smile lines ) get fat and lose hair also.

Seven days without God makes one weak. If the rapture occurred today, would you be in church on Sunday?

you mean, you interviewed ALL religious people and ALL had no sense of humor ? Amazing... You either have way too much time on your hands or work at the speed of light. Since there are 6,000,000,000 people on Earth and 95% are religious, you talked to over 5,000,000,000 people and none of them had any sense of humor... You must publish this..

You must be reacting to all the answers you read on Yahoo. I can assure you that although I might not watch comedy central (haven't heard of it!) I have a wicked British sense of humour which you wouldn't get if you weren't one! My friend calls it BBC humour! Mind you your American sense of humour isn't bad either!

Of course I have a sense of humor but NOT when it comes to serious matters. I speak for myself, even then there are a few exceptions
ie would you like it if i can to your (for example's sake) mom funeral and told you her butt was huge. Would you laugh or punch me and say how inappropriate!
There's a time for seriousness
and
a time for laughing!
