God says that there is only one God and he is the true God. God said, Let US make man in OUR image. He referred to himself as us rather than me. There are three persons in the one Godhead. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and they are one. By saying us, though absolutely united, God declared that there were three persons in the one God. Jesus told his disciples to baptize in the name, not names, of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In the beginning was the Word and and the Word was with God and was God. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us and was named Jesus. He was in the form of God and thought it not robbery to be equal to God, but emptied himself of his reputation and humbled himself by becoming a man to suffer the divine penalty for our sins in our place. Therefore, God justifies all those who believe in Jesus. And that is but the start of the journey toward sanctification. Jesus prayed to the Father and said, this is life eternal that they may know You and Jesus Christ whom you sent.

Jesus is not God but the Son of God. The true God is the creator of earth and the universe. He has no beginning and will never have an end. The Bible book of Psalms clearly states at chapter 90, verse 2 that “from everlasting to everlasting (or from eternity to eternity) you are God.” God has many titles but only one name, it is pronounced differently in each language. In English it is Jehovah and can be found in many bibles at Psalms 83:18 “may people know that you whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth.” Some people also pronounce it as Yahweh. Unfortunately, God’s name was removed from many Bibles and replaced with the titles Lord or God.
Jesus unlike other humans lived in heaven as a spirit person before he was born on earth. Jehovah God created him first and Jesus helped in the creation of all other things. Colossians 1:15,16 “the first-born of all creation, because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth.” Jesus is called God’s “only-begotten” son. At his baptism in 29 C.E his father, Jehovah God, said at Matthew 3:17 “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.” Also his disciple Simon Peter acknowledges that he is God’s Son at Matthew 16:16 “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” These scriptures helps us to see that Jesus and God are two different persons .

Yes, God is God, however, Jesus is also God and so is the Holy Spirit. God is a trinity- ie 3 parts in one. Here's a website with an article on this, and other things, that will help you.

Jesus was God manifested in the flesh. God is a spirit.See Colossians 1:15. It says that Jesus is the physical body of the invisible God.(my short paraphrase). But that is the exact verse to refer to understand it. Also, see Colossians 2:9, that makes it all very clear how they are all very much one in the same. Remember, Jesus told the disciples, "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father".

There is only one God but three persons. This is called the Mystery of the Holy Trinity. God the Father is the creator, God the Son (Jesus) is the saviour, and God the Holy Spirit (the Paraclete) is the personification of the love between the Father and the Son. It shouldn't be difficult to believe because by definition, God is god and can do whatever He pleases.

The way I see it is... God is God, but Jesus is Lord. Jesus is the son of God or the human version of God. The only way to God is through Him. I think we as humans are incapable of understanding God (it being that He has no beginning or end and has no solid form) therefore He sent us Jesus who was more like us and easier to relate to.

God is Father, Son and Spirit -- three persons in one God. The Father is the Creator who made the universe and relates to us as a parent. The Holy Spirit is God's presence in this universe that delivers power, influences lives, in-dwells. Jesus is the person of God with bodily form. All three are one God.
Why do you wonder that God has three persons? Do you think God is like man? Certainly man is something like God. We have a body and spirit but we do not stand outside the universe. Do you expect that you should be able to understand God? Don't you think that any god that you could totally understand could not possibly be God?

It can't be. As you say, God is God. Those who believe in the trinity need to do some research on how that belief got started. It was not taught at all in the bible. And those that refer to Jesus as being the bodily form of God, he no longer has that body, so why do you keep referencing it? Also, when God said, "Let us make man in our image," they were talking about the intellectual abilities, not the physical form, because God and the Angels are spirits and are not made of dust. Reminder again, Jesus no longer has a physical body, so please adjust your definitions. Again, please answer me, who was Jesus praying to when he was being crucified? There is only one God, unless you are heathen or pagan. They worship multiple gods.
Col 1:15 says Jesus was the first born of creation. God has no beginning and no end, so how could he be first born? Then the image of the invisible God, refers to spiritual likeness, because how can their be a physical image of something invisible? Can you people please analyze your scriptures before you post them in defense of something?

Theres only one God Jesus is gods son and Jesus has a mother, now its makes sense dont you think, you have a mother and a daddy, God sent Jesus his Son to earth Jesus, JUST LIKE YOU and he lives JUST AS YOU LIVED BUT HE DIDNT SIN BECAUSE HE IS IN THe SAME FORM AS HIS FATHER just as you are liek your daddy, he died for Sinners THE ONES THAT THE DEVIL TOOK CONTROL OVER god said to the Devil try what ever you like...but the last word end with me... and guess what its always does (im persumming youve never been in a crisis where you feel like your world is liek hell then been to church and been lifted back up again)...nobody can explain this and it doesnt matter how many peoiple on yahoo answers answer this question or give thier opinion on what they think because the truth is when something bad happen even the people who have done evil will repent e.g when that bomb went off on sept 11 i can you bet you many bad people went out and helped others) and the reason because god is in eveyone of us (the holy spirit) but if we choose to listen to the devil who only wants to make us turn on god God Jesus well guess what would happen, he would say ok run with the devil see where he take you ,but dont think he'll ever leave you alone because he wont, he's always there for you even when you think he's gone..."FOOTPRINTS" Jesus then rose from Hell, THE DEVIL has NO power JESUS WON over the devil in his own home AINT THAT SOMETHING,now the devil is angry and is using temptations to make you beliebe that what god has for you is wrong, god is complete love, he never judges, he never inflicts pain, when you fall he will never abandon you, im not talking about losing your job, but your last hour, a circumstance where death is looking you in the face i bet if you had one minute to live youll be calling out to god, and even if any of you people on here say Na i wont call god. you know you will...its not liek youll call for the devil now would ya...the devil doesnt help he is the opposite to pure love, there is no life in him/her just death... but look on the bright side say what every you wont believe in what ever you like but the truth is if you run with evil you only attract evil back to you, your life here will be nothing bad bad karma, run with Christ and he'll show you pure love in this world and all the beauty it holds in this life and the next...
"God bless each and every one of you"

Because God can be three separate persons at once, he is omnipresent; outside the boundaries of spacetime; supernatural - he can be both in heaven in spirit, and on earth in the flesh at the same universal time. Think about it: if God is God, then he is supernatural. He doesn't follow our physical laws. We cannot be in two or three places at once, but he can. He is the infinite being, in all things at every given moment of universal time. If he can be in all things at any given moment in time, then he can certainly be in only three persons at any given moment in time. Besides, Jesus claimed to be God, and Jesus also said if you do not believe who he claims to be, "then you will indeed die in your sins".
