Jesus often went away from the crowds to get alone with the Father and pray. If Jesus needed to push everything to the side to be in His Father's presence, how much more do we? To answer your question, When I go to my own private place and get on my knees before my Father, there is not a good deed I could do or a kind word that I could say which compares to that anointing / holiness that showers over me due to His presence and blessing.

I see it this way: in every religion, the basis is built on the moral rules. If you do not respect those, besides the fact that you will be rejected by society, you will fail to keep your religion, whatever that is.
I don't see how praising God would be more important than being kind and helpful for those around you. Being a good person is what makes the world a better place, besides helping people itself you can become an example for others who will do the same, and I think that's something wonderful.

I respect Him.
The way I figure it, if He is Almighty, my praise or worship really doesn't make a difference. I live by my conscience, because I feel I've been raised with good moral standings.
I do my best to be a good person, make others happy (with a limit), help when I can help, share when I can share, and treat others the way I want to be treated in return. I remember that I'm only human, and I can make mistakes, but I try not to use that as an excuse.

I cannot tell you that I am more holy than someone else, because I cannot look into their heart , only God can do that. But I can tell you that I am striving to become more holy every day and through the grace of God I am forgiven, the Holy Spirit leads and guides me daily in my walk with the Lord and when God tells me to do something I am quick to obey, because I love Him just that much.
It is not about works , it is about the condition of your heart.

I feel right with God and myself when I have gone through a day without a bad word about someone else.
I feel right with God and myself when I have done some small kindness for someone else and maybe it made their day.
I feel right with God and myself when I have accomplished everything that I promised to do on any given day.
I feel right with God and myself when I appreciate all the gifts that have been given to me (a sunny day, the ability to take a brisk walk or to read a book, enjoy nature or a good meal).
I feel right with God and myself when I have been given the ability to make the world a better place in some small way.
You see it pleases me because God is a part of me and I am a part of God.

Unfortuntly you sound bitter and that is a shame.... I as a Christian do not feel I am more or less holy than anyone. That right is reserved for the person and their GOD...
I can tell you I feel right with God but again it is a personal decision on my part to study Gods word and to work on my relationship with him.
There are no works that can get you into heaven...however there are different forms of worship

I know this sounds like a cliche so I apologise in advance. I feel more spiritual when I am living "in the now" or the present moment or whatever way you want to put it. There's a tremendous peace that comes with it. Just to accept everything as being okay. Not fighting reality. Not wanting what I haven't got. Understanding that. as the prayer says "THY will be done" and not MY will. Also realising that the universe is "ruthlessly benevolent".

Does God feel holy?Shouldn't the feeling be taken forgranted? Actually, I have never felt holy, just pleased after having done something good. I think superconsciousness is the holiest feeling one can get if he can achieve it. That's being one with the consciousness of God. So they say.

Well for one, i never want to think im HOLY. . . . cause for one, God is my everything, i never want to put myself above Him, in any way. . . cause i want to keep myself humble before Him. I will never look at myself as holy or righteous or even worthy to ever look apon the face of Jesus. because HE is the Holy one. . .and He is the one who i give all my praise too! :)
And when it comes to being Right with God. . . well i will never feel right with God. . . i have felt it before that "Oh im doing good cause i repented" but that is nothing. . .cause i LOVE God so much that i will never be right with Him cause there is always something that He shows me, that makes me feel that i didnt even know about Him in the first place. Cause my friend. . . God is soooooo big! and wonderful! and He has to show me so many things about him, that i could never feel that i am in a settling place to know my God, cause there is just to much about him to even make me feel that i know all about him. hehe :)

i am still working on being right with me. but then - i think thats the same thing!
Look inside and be true to yourself - whilst having sex, or indeed doing the laundry - some days thats going to be great and others not - either way, God is as close as she ever was.
