My doctor called this morning, and left a message asking if i was having any problems (had back surgery a month ago). He never left a number for where I could contact him, so I emailed him some of the symptoms I was experiencing. Do you think he will respond to my email??

most doctors have an answering service or after hours number. if you are having concerning symptoms that need to be dealt with before tommorow, you need to call the office number for further instructions. i doubt that he will respond to an e mail on a sunday afternoon.

Its a dice roll. 50/50 chance he'll respond if he even has an email account and knows how to use it. Why not just call his regular office number and leave a message, most people use the telephone and I'm sure doctors check their messages routinely.

He telephoned you and left a number where you could call him back. Why didn't you just call him? He will probably respond to your email, but when would be hard to say. Depends upon how often he or his staff check his email, and that might depend upon whether he uses his email for patient contact or not. Just telephone the man, as he instructed.

I believe he will, since he was concerned enough to ask. But don't you have his office phone number?? Seems like that would have been the easiest way to get a verbal response from him.

It would be very uncaring and negligent of him to ask yu about your condition, and not respond.
