Why does anyone believe that garbage? I often hear people call the God of the "old" testament a God of vengeance. Tell me exactly how the Christian god isn't a God of vengeance! What other religion on earth celebrates over the misfortune of others?

I am not going to judge, but ....

According to Scriptures Jesus said: Forgive them Father for they do not know what they are doing. So we are instantly forgiven, because is is also said that the Father gives him all he wants for he deserves it.

It is also said that He and the Disciples said They have not war against Men. Now the judgement counts for everyone, forgiven or not. So those who decided to live by the Law will be judge by the Law, and Jesus still added to the Law so that salvation is by faith, So those who died in such a manner is considered that after resurrection they will be judge by their deeds and according to God's mercy.

About the men leaders of evil and false prophets it is written, they will be destroyed forever.

As for burning forever in hell is a concept that for men does not count even if it was true because the flesh does not last forever, their spirit has not flesh, the everlasting life is not for the unbelievers. And the opposite to everlasting life is everlasting death.

As Hell for Angels, well, God is their Judge.

Oh, gee...why wouldn't I as a Jewish woman want to convert to Christianity after reading some of these answers...Let's see....in Judaism, we say that all those, whether Jews or not, who follow the 7 Noahide Laws can enter the World to Come. If you have not, you will go to a place of cleansing and purification for no more than 11 months and then can enter the World to Come. In Christianity, it is said that no matter what kind of life you have led; no matter how unkind or unloving you are; no matter whom you have hurt...if you accept Christ as your savior...you will go to heaven... but if you have lived a good, kind life, but do not accept Christ as your savior, no matter what else...you will go to Hell and burn in eternal torment. Hmmm....Which one sounds better?

No and neither is anybody else. Hell means the grave. The version taught of a burning heel,is babylonian teaching and mythology. God dose't burn anybody. If God would let one of His children burn in a fiery hell,He would be a failure, and He is not. Seems also that most so-called christian like t give equal power to satan,as God has. How foolish when even satans knee will one day bow in love and proclaim that Jesus Christ is King of Kings, and Lord of Lords to the glory of God.

Yes, According to the Christian faith, Jews and all other Christ non-believers are going to hell no matter how good a life they may have lived. I can't even figure out why anybody would want to believe in such a god, it's depressing!

No, the Jewish People are the choosen tribes of Israel. Resurection day , has not come yet, and when it does we all will see weather or not we go to hell. The Jewish People suffered during the war and they were killed by the devil himself. So we need to ask the question : Is Hitler burning in hell ? There again, we don't know until the Day of Resurection.

No! Ecclesiastes 9
5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead don't know anything. There is no longer a reward for them because the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Their love, their hate, and their envy have already disappeared, and there is no longer a portion for them in all that is done under the sun.

10 Whatever your hands find to do, do with [all] your strength, because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.

Proverbs 11
7 When the wicked dies,
his expectation comes to nothing,
and hope placed in wealth vanishes.

I am not aware that Jews were burned alive during the Holocaust horror. I have always been taught that they had been gassed or worked and starved to death prior to the Nazi's attempting to destroy the evidence of their inhumanity in the ovens. Contrary to your question, my beliefs are that those responsible for the Holocaust and their minions have been doomed to suffer the fires of hell for eternity.

I do not believe that this questioner is a Christian.
He is just trying to spread pain and divisiveness.
He is NOT representative of Christians.

Everyone is born a sinner. Everyone who dies without having their sin forgiven will go to Hell without exception.

God harshly punishes sinfulness.

In our soft, politically correct, false love society this sounds horrible. The Authoritative, Holy and Righteous aspects of God's Character have never been favorites of mankind.

Most false-preachers and prophets keep repeating, "Do not judge, God is Love Love Love".

Our job is to preach the truth. All men are condemned to Hell from Birth! This is exactly why Jesus said, " I have not come to condemn but to save (from condemnation to Hell)".
