The Christians say that Jesus of Nazarene (IEHSHAS in Hebrew and IESOUS in Greek) was risen from the dead or resurrected while the archaeologists say that they found Jesus’ family tomb. Were these ossuaries dug up to deny the resurrection of Christ?

http://www.jesusfamilytomb.com/essential_facts/ossuaries.html

Give me the explanation, to make it clear, not only for me but for all the Christ believing people who believed in His resurrection.

This is a wonderful question and the response here are excellent. However I have to object to Islamic interpretations of Christ Deity by quoting a rather recent document their Holy book. They see only from a mirror dimly. . Historically their is evidence that Jesus lived and died. Most of the modern world use a date system based on AD BC which focussed on His existence.

From a biblical perspective one could not deny the resurrection of Christ. His body not just His Spirit was risen. The Disciples saw Him and saw the one They love and was able to see His wounds from the Cross.

Many people are confused by archeology and it's is not a quest to solve problems it is the study of people and cultures. The problem is if your looking for something in the study of tomb you find what you want to see. If you want answers on Faith you must go to the book that your faith is in. Islamic people don't truly have a contemporary reliable resource as their books are several hundred years after Christ death. The most reliable resources is the Bible. The Bible is a reliable resource with many copies that are in agreement.

First, you should know that "the same claim was made in a British television programme, fronted by Joan Bakewell, just a few years ago".....

Hmmm. TWO tombs of Jesus???

Frankly, this isn't surprising. People have been TRYING (without success, obviously) to call Jesus nothing more than a human being since He died and was resurrected.

I am not an expert, but I found the articles below EXTREMELY insightful and helpful in understanding why this was NOT Jesus' tomb. Here are a few interesting quotes:

"The documentarians' claim is not valid. The Cameron-sponsored Jesus Family Tomb proffers a specious claim based upon bad theory, bad statistics, and bad history. A careful examination of their evidence demands that their claim be rejected."

"In late February, 2007, Simcha Jacobovici and Charles Pellegrino launched a new book titled "The Jesus Family Tomb: The Discovery, the Investigation, and the Evidence That Could Change History." They'll follow it up with a documentary to be shown on the Discovery Channel.
....I....read it carefully to see what the case is. I'll say right away that I came to like Simcha Jacobovici very much while reading the book. His intellectual curiosity launched this investigation, and he clearly loves a great puzzle. There are folks who want to make Simcha the bad guy here, as if he somehow set out to demolish Christianity by cooking up some evidence. I don't get that impression from reading his story or watching him on video. He's clearly passionate about this story and interested in getting at the truth.

This is a BIG story! A bone-box was found in Jerusalem with the name "Jesus son of Joseph!" Right nearby were nine other bone-boxes. Five of them had names on them, and those names included Mary twice, Joseph, Judah, and Matthew. We know that Jesus had two brothers named Joseph and Judah and his grandfather was named Matthew. Furthermore, two of his disciples were also named Judah and one was named Matthew. Isn't that an awfully big coincidence? What if this Jesus is the REAL Jesus of Nazareth? Why didn't the archaeologists pursue this with a little more interest?

After reading the book carefully, I believe there are some serious problems with the case that the authors have made."

Too many witnesses to the empty tomb for unbelievers to dig up ossuraries claiming they are the bones of Jesus the Christ.
They may be bones of someone named Jesus because the name was common.

Jesus the Christ was God the Father in flesh who walked the earth. Not even Josephus would say that Jesus was just a prophet. Jesus made such an impression upon history that time split BC and AD for Him.

John saw Jesus crucified on the Cross and John saw the arisen Jesus along with over 500 people. Yes, 500 people saw Jesus after the crucifixion. There is more evidence for Christ than evidence for Caesar or Pharaohs or Ancient Kings. The evidence is available for the resurrection of Christ and historically documented.

We are living in an age known as the age of sorrows.
There will constantly be attempts to disprove the Bible and the divinity of Jesus Christ.
There are just as many people caliming the finding of the, so called, tombs of christ are real as there are calling them a hoax.
Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God.

Someone famous said (I think it was C.S. Lewis)
that Jesus was either right (that he is the son of God, and is actually part and parcel of God), or he is a lunatic. Only God or a lunatic would claim to be God to the extent Jesus did in the era he did. Given that choice, I believe Jesus was and is God, the interceder for us all and the risen/ascended Saviour.

But no-one can tell someone else and have that be it. It is a matter of personal consideration and faith.

Obviously, it will depend upon whom you ask. Bearing the very name of "Christian" means that, by faith (Hebrews 11:6), one accepts Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the Messiah, their Saviour, and the Lord of their life. If one doesn't accept all of these things, then they aren't truly a Christian.

For those that say He was a Prophet and/or a Good man? Jesus Himself claimed to be the Son of God (Matthew 16:15-17) and to be the one whom spoke from the burning bush to Moses (John 8:56-59). Neither a prophet nor a good man would lie. Thus, He was either telling the truth or was insane. So, either accept Him as the Son of God or don't accept Him as anything equal to or better than yourself.

The problem here is that the tomb that was dug up was NOT the tomb of JESUS. I believe that they were dug up to remove credibility from Christianity. The problem is that this name was common in those times.

More can be said.

I believe Jesus is real because I have experienced God's presence, miracles, seen angels and tested God's word:

http://www.kingdom-gospel.com/bible.html

You can prove God's Word in 3 ways::

1. Do the word in doctrine and witness truth in your life-

John 7:16-17:
"...'My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If any man is willing to do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from Myself.' "

2. The Holy Spirit will bear witness of Christ (Jesus is the Word of God - John chapter 1)-

John 15:26:
" 'When the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me.' "

3. Confirming signs-

Mark 16:20:
"And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the Word by the signs that followed."
