because people don't know love.
Love is patient and kind;

Most peoples version of love is completely opposite of what is on that list.
Just write it down for yourself and see how it sounds.
Love is impatient, unkind
--I want a kiss- i dont want to get married lets have sex now
you dont love me if you make me wait
its envious and boastful
--why cant you buy me stuff like that guy, why cant you be like a supermodel, why cant you be more like this or that,
-- look how hot I am, look how cool my car is, it cost me 75 grand, I am smarter than everyone, I can afford expensive gifts and dates blah blah blah.
arrogant and rude---
insists on its own way
irritable and resentful

You can't practice long term commitment in a series of short term relationships. If you want to practice what married life is going to be.
WORK WORK WORK, and when you can't work anymore, try to make someone elses day and make them happy.
Thats what you will be doing when you are married.

Then get home and love your spouse and children.
if you can't even do that to your parents, you have no business getting married at all.
don't even waste peoples time by trying to get a date if you cant even build good honest friendships.
