The only real difference is where they depart from. Seattle or Vancouver or Anchorage. No matter where they all stop pretty much at the same ports. Seattle is a much easier airport to get around in. For just a 7 day cruise they are all well worth the trip. The other big difference is starting in Seattle or Vancouver on the last day of your cruise you will travel the outside passage back to where you start and there are no sites to see and a chance of running into a little rougher water. I would stop by your local AAA center that has a travel depart and they will give you free brouchures and answers any questions whether you are amember or not.
Enjoy.

I think it also depends on what type of trip you wish to take. While you can do the cruises on the larger ships, there are a host of companies that offer small boat cruising or adventure tours to the area.

Go to your library and check out some books about cruising and do lots of reading.

Go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards" at the top of the page, then do lots of reading on the different boards there.

There's no substitute for doing your research; even if you go to a travel agent, he/she will have lots of questions for you as to what you want.

Good luck.
