if u are really determined on improving your English i suggest u pick up a book and start reading. Some Americans cannot speak proper English, i suggest you seek an English friend preferably somewhere close to London. London English is the standard English. English is not my first language either but sometimes even m English is way better than the English i read here from Americans.

Fine, but as someone correctly pointed out, Americans are not really experts on the English language (although we can probably help you become more comfortably conversant the more you "read" it). Ideally you should hear it as well as read it for it to stick well. By the way, what is your native language?

Pick up news papers and other things in English and read out loud so you can hear the sounds. Occasionally have someone listen to you and correct what they hear. You'll quickly gain friends.
