Because God is performing a good work in you, and when that person we love the most is taken away, a believer has to turn to the person we should love the most... which is God. the people we become in this life are discerned in eternity, and every trial you come accross, wether it was timely or not, God will remember what or who you leaned on to get through it. it is a character building process.

Batgirl2 had a very good answer. Unfortunately we don't have the answer to why. I believe we will know when we stand before God. It says in the bible that we will be all knowing when we do.
My daughter was brutally murdered in our home in 1992 and I found her. She was 15. It took a long time for me to heal enough to move on with my life and to stop asking why. Someday I'll be with her again in spirit and I long for that day. At her memorial service, our Pastor said "One of Satan's missiles got through. She loved the Lord with all her heart and I couldn't understand why either and that question kept me stuck.
I choose to believe that God gives the pure in heart that love him a wonderful place to be. He doesn't want to hurt us, even tho' we do. He doesn't take them.
I have seen a lot of good come from it. Many of her friends and schoolmates accepted the Lord as their Savior. And I've been able to reach out to those in pain.
They did find him 4yrs. 6 mos. and 18 days later and he is in prison for the rest of his life. The most difficult thing I've ever done in my entire life was to forgive him. I had to choose to forgive because I knew God and my daughter would want me to.
Another thing, I don't know what could be worse. Finding your whole life crushed by loosing that special person, or those who don't know where their children or loved ones are. It must be a daily living hell for them. I know my daughter is with the Lord and of anyone I know, she deserves this honor the most.
Take care. Email me if you feel the need to. I will be a friend for you.

First, you must realize God never intended for humans to die. We were made to live forever. Due to Satan's interference, Adam & Eve sinned and passed it on to us, their children.
We do have hope. A realistic hope for a resurrection on earth. (Acts 24:15) This is a promise from God who has never failed to deliver on a promise. (Joshua 21:45)
We can draw comfort from the resurrection of Jesus to a spirit life in heaven. The incredible thing is Jesus was restored with all his memories intact, back to the beginning of his creation. Those resurrected by God to earth will also be restored with their memories intact as God does not do half-way.
So, while He is not the cause of death, He will be what can restore loved ones to life.

Yes , God sometimes take away from us the person we love the most , OR sometimes one of us is Handicapped ,
These are really hard tests for us , But Tests , That how we react , behave and think of such hardship ,
We Muslims are Taught to Say ,
WE ALL ARE FROM ALLAH , AND WE ALL WILL HAVE TO GO BACK TO HIM ,
This is a real reliever in any such situation .

That's just the way life is for all of us. Life is not all beer and skittles. Most of us suffer very some painful losses, and we somehow muddle through. Of course our departed or distant loved ones cannot be replaced, but having close friends and a strong sense of community can help us deal with it.

I don't know it depends on the circumstances. Each case is unique. I think Deut 13 sums it up pretty Good.........if we worship or idolize a person perhaps they must be removed if they hinder our walk with God. And ultimately God does not care about "idolatry" because of his own feelings about it so much as he knows it opens us up to being destroyed by satan. His love for us I believe, is greater than his love for himself.

I don't know. He took away my identical twin in 1990, my daddy in 1973, and Mama in 1997. I am totally alone.
I have heard this life compared to a tapestry. God is the weaver of this tapestry.
We see the back side, with all the broken threads, etc. It looks ugly. When we get to Heaven, He shall show us the front of the tapestry, in all of its beauty, and we will understand.
I send you blessings and good wishes.

In Islam we believe that God tests those whom he loves more than he tests others because at times of despair, people naturally turn to a higher being (God himself) and ask for help. basically God likes it when you turn to him.

It might be because we love that person more than him. So much that we make that person a god in our lives. He said he would have no other gods before him.
