Conjugate the verb "To be" :-

you get I Am (First person)
He is (Second person)
They are (Third person)

That's the easiest way I know to remember it.

First person : using "i, me, myself, we, our, ourselves"
ex. I am going to the mall.
Second person : using "you, your, yourself"
Ex. You are going to the mall.
Thirsd person : using "she, he, it, they, them"
Ex. They are going to the mall.
An autobiography is usually first person, meaning the writer himself is telling your his story ... I was born in ...
The third person limited pertains to story-telling. The writer is telling a story following only one character. The first five books of the Harry Potter series is a third person limited because it follows only Harry Potter meaning you see only what he sees. However in the sixth book, there are chapters where you could see what Harry Potter cannot.

when you use first person you use "I" as in "I like cake."You use these in recounts and stuff.

Second person is when you use "you," you normally use these in instructions. "Next, YOU place the mixture in the oven."

Third person is mainly used in stories. "Her, his, she, him, theirs and they" like "ThEY like cake."
