Yesterday a bunch of us went to a bar and finally this girl I like from my university also went. Struck up a conversation, got her digits and may have noticed a bit of interest on her part. However, this is not the issue. We're talking and she tells me its time for her to go. Now comes the goodbye part. Normally this wouldnt be a problem but this group is VERY diverse regarding nationality; so now i dont know the appropirate goodbye: handshake? head nod? single kiss? double kiss?
In a split-second decision i go for what is normal to me: the "sort-of-hug-single-kiss-in-the-cheek". But something goes wrong and I give the "sort-of-hug" but the kiss ends up in her shoulder (dont ask me why i was nervous & wasnt drunk)
My question is: should i call today, say hi & use the opportunity to kinda let her know that if she notied somethig wierd it was beacuse i was nervous? Or should i pretend nothing happened and see on monday, by her attitude towards me, if ended screwing it up.

I guess I ended up in this position since she didnt know what was appropriate as well. Goddam culture shock!

no no this was nothing, don't even try to bring it up. This should not prevent you from whatever you wanted to do, just act as if nothing happened. By the ways, how come for the kiss to end up in the shoulder? did she pull away or what?

Sounds innocuous to me, but if you really must bring it up, make it funny.
"Look, I got confused between kissing you full square upon the lips or grovelling at your feet and all that averaged out to me drooling on your shoulder, it really was meant well even if quite stupid on my part. I am very sorry about that. If it's okay with you I'd like another go at it sometime, and I promise, no drooling on your shoulder. Might you prefer the kiss or the grovel?"
Something like that. This particular script may be overkill.

Haha if she noticed the kiss on her shoulder she may think you are a horny guy and want to do it with her.
