Most back problems in women get their start following pregnancy. Many changes in posture take place, just to accommodate the weight displacement by the baby. Tummy goes out and is compensated by the tail going out and up. This tail bone indicating the sacrum. This particular bone is the base of the spine. Every thing above that level will compensate for this major distortion.

Very few women are advised to exercise while the ligaments and tendons are still in the stretchable state. The absence of this postural correction establishes a chronic condition, as these same ligaments have returned to their more normal state without the needed changes having been accomplished.

The result of all this is a condition that is ripe for injury. Often without doing any thing consciously that you could attribute it to. You will now find that it is easier to carry the children on one hip. The reason for this is, that hip is higher than the other. And therefore makes it easy to work at other things and still support the child on that hip. There is nothing the other hip offers to allow the same method of holding the child.

Thus, there is a constant and chronic condition of the low back. It is subject to any strain or stress.. Most often reported as having been caused by bending over to pick up a child. Being only partially true..The most pressure to the lower back is not bending but rising from that position.

These type of problems are usually the ones presenting to the doctor of Chiropractic, as they seem to get no relief from other treatments. Inasmuch as they consider the problem to be nothing but a strain or acute stage. Doing nothing for the chronic state, evident in this condition.

One hip high, one shoulder lower than the other should be convincingly demonstrative of the changes that have taken place in the posture.

Start doing some simple yoga like downward facing dog poses to get loosen in your back only when the pain goes away, if u dont, and have bulging disc u could make things worse for u I would go to a chiro . To get a checkup to get a idea whats going wrong.

Are you physically picking the children up? You state it goes away for 3/4 weeks and then comes back, might have something to do with your menses, ovulation? Likewise if that coincides with the busiest time with the kids. Sometimes you just have to keep a diary for a few months and figure out what the coincidences are.
