Best DVD Burning software?

I need a good, free dvd software that is user friendly.

NOTE: I have Nero, and it's messing with my system.
When I look at a *.dat file, I don't want to see "NeroShowTime.files7.dat". Other extension types and other stuff I haven't found yet are changed.
So, please....suggest anything good but Nero.

The top of the line in CD, and DVD burning Software is Roxio's Toast-8 for PC's
If you are using a Mac, I prefer to use Mactheripper + Popcorn instead.
