show them straight away it will only get worst if you don't. Don't lie and deceive to add to mucking around all year with your mate's at school. It will be over and forgotten about in no time unless you keep having a little to much fun at school

Simply tell them that you screwed up this term and show it to them. I would have some ideas ready as to how you can improve and what you are going to do to change your grades.
You know your grades are a reflection of just how much you care about yourself. Your education isn't for your parents, they have theirs and they simply want you to do better in life than they did, all parents do.
Have alittle self respect and look down the road at 10years from now. Try to imagine what you want your life to be and how you can help yourself get it. What doesn't seem very important to you right now, is going to make or break your future. Not those grades, you won't even remember those grades in ten years, but the attitude of taking responsibility for yourself, standing on your own two feet and being the kind of man who has some pride in himself and his accomplishments.
Tell your parents you are sorry that you wasted this opportunity, and accept whatever punishment they decide. Then stop making excuses and get busy improving your grades. That way you don't ever have to ask this kind of question again.

Hold on to it for as long as you can before giving it to them like a week all the while you make sure you show them everynight that you are studying like when moms cooking dinner study at the table where she can see you. After the week bring it to your parents and show them also telling them that you realize that you need to improve your grades and you are trying to do better. They will have seen you already doing so and are more likely to believe you. GOOD LUCK!

Ya gotta let them know, so if you need help, you can get it before you fail. Just go humbly, tell them I have a bad report this term, here it is. Chances are if you are upfront, they won't blow as bad.
Say, "I gotta be honest with you, here is a bad report for this term. I need help in ___________ and ____________. Can you guys spare some time to help me study in these areas so I don't fail?"
That should calm them a bit. Be sincere. Accept any help, and study harder for real.

I agree with Sleepless. Take responsibility and tell them what you're going to do to make it better next time. And...most importantly...carry that out. Being upfront and providing them with a solution is usually the best.
How would you feel if I trashed your favorite shirt? If I told you I'm sorry that I ruined it, then told you how I'd make it better, and finally made good on my promise, then would you be upset anymore? The same applies for your grades.

explain to them why its so bad, then apologise and tell them you'll do better next time. Point out the good points in your report, so its not all bad. just dont get angry when they say theyre disappointed and you should be fine!
how about:
Mom and Dad, heres my report for this term. Its not very good, but i can explain (explain). Im really sorry and i promise i'll definitly do better next time. Look, this bit's good (show good point).
hope i helped!

you might have not done well in certain subjects like math.....
etc. Please prove to them by confidently
and fearlessly showing them the card, to prove that you are a man who can face the failure and resolve to do better next time ( be sure to do better next time). You will then pass the most important subjects in life-----(1)How to overcome fear
(2) How to face the failures (3) How to learn from your mistakes and above all (4) How to treat Parents as friends.

I don't think there's much you can say to make it better, just try harder next time around. What you do can make it better, not what you say.
