Do you have any idea what Jesus went through and what that would do to a body.

First he was beaten the night before his trial.

Next he was scourged which involves what is basically a multi-tasseled whip with pieces of metal, bone and glass to tear the skin and break the bones.

Next he was crucified which is a slow painful death by asphyxiation by being forced to push up on nails that are piercing your nerves to breath until you become so tired that you can no longer muster the energy to push up.

Christ was special because in addition to that he was stabbed in the heart that also pierced a lung.

Also, soldiers crucified Christ, people very, very familiar with death and who can tell who is dead. In fact Jesus was stabbed to make sure he was dead because the soldiers didn't believe he would die so fast. To add motivation, if someone came off the cross alive then the soldiers the, selves would be executed so they really wanted to make sure the condemned are really dead.

There is absolutely no possibility that Christ just went into a coma or swooned on the cross and did not really die.

I think someone did thrust a spear to Jesus' side. Water and blood came out, meaning blood has already coagulated internally. Isn't this a sign that the physical body has long been dead?

The four gospel accounts give a detail historic record of his death and resurrection and the events leading up to them.

In fact I believe because the eyewitness testimony of Jesus life, ministry and miracles recorded in the gospels is convincing to me. Read them for yourself and see if they're convincing to you.

The romans pronounced him dead, because they went to break his leg, but so that the scripture to be fulfilled, That a bone in his body was not broken, They saw he was dead but went ahead & put a spear ino his side, They had to take him down before the sabbath, no one was to hang on a cross on the sabbath.

The Roman Legionaire that pronounced Him to be dead was certain. If he wasn't, he would have been put to death himself. The Roman's were masters at the art of death. They knew how to exact it and they knew how to prolong it. They also knew when someone had expired. There is no way possible that they were mistaken.

People were raised from the dead back then and I don't suppose Jesus looked anything like He did when He was nailed on the cross. Unless you think He recovered from His wounds extremely fast, then in that case it was still a true miracle. PRAISE JESUS !!!!!!

What, you don't think the Romans had a way of discerning who was dead and who wasn't?

There's no way Jesus could have survived.

Could be, but it's more likely that the whole resurrection story was just made up by people who were writing down stories that were told to them by people who had heard the stories of people who weren't actually there at the time. Much easier explanation, really.

what is the point of this ridiculous question? Why would you care??? Very disrespectful to believers of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is okay not to believe, but don't blaspheme. Peace to you, and I will pray for you.
