Growing up Mormon I never thought anything of having to follow the Word of Wisdom or the law of chasity. I knew it was what is expected of me. Both rules are a great way to be happy and stay healthy. Is it not amazing that in this day and age we are being told the dangers of smoking and drinking. These side effects were not known to Joseph Smith but he knew that in order to stay healthy we need to shy away from those things.

I have absolutely no doubt that you are a dedicated Mormon lady. You probably have a happy husband, well cared-for kids, a neat home, and a huge list of friends. You also probably pride yourself on being a helpful and resourceful person. All those things are taught to Mormon women and they are admirable. But.....

You also believe that you are on the road to "becoming Jesus". You believe that if you keep living the life you are living, that you will become an "eternally pregnant goddess" on your own planet along with your spouse. You believe that Jesus came after his crucifixion and preached his word to the Native American people of this country.

You believe that all black people are descended from Cain, and are therefore evil and marked as evil by the color of their skin. You believe in baptizing Jews that were murdered during the holocaust as Mormons, even though their descendants have asked you not to.

If you have any objections to these statements, then you are not a true Mormon. You are merely a nice lady that was lured by the promise of a family based life. You probably don't realize that most Mormon males are fully aware of these things, but have decided to leave you in the dark because you are not worthy to know it.

Good luck to you. I don't doubt that you are a good person, but I really doubt that you know what you have signed up for.

I have never experienced being a Mormon, so I don't think I have a right to make an opinion. But, when I was little, my dad was able to convince two Americian missionaries of TCOJCOLDS to drink liquor.

I actually know they give me more freedom. I have lived the other way and I ended up becoming a slave to my passions. That is when I truly lost my free will. I feel much more happy and at peace living this way. And I am definitely more in control of the well being of my life.

I don't know all of the Mormon rules. The ones I do know about I think that some are Biblical and some are man made inventions. I think that in general most Mormons are good people who have a desire to live a life that is pleasing to God. On the other hand there is clear evidence that this relgion was started by a false prophet that quite possibly may have been deceived by a fallen angel masquerading as one of the elect and holy angels.

Doesn't the LDS church teach that "as we are, God once was. And as God is, someday we too will be"?

The idea that God was once a man flies in the face of the clear revelation of truth given in the Scriptures. If God was once a man then He isn't the real God who created all things but was Himself a creation of some other "god".

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Isaiah 43:10 "You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.

The idea that Jesus and Satan are "spirit brothers" reduces the person and being of Jesus to the same level as the Devil. The idea that one day faithful Mormons will have their own planets to rule over and populate with their own "spirit children" contradicts what Jesus taught about believers not marrying or being given in marriage in the life to come.

Have you every considered that in the fall the Devil tempted Eve by claiming that if she believed what he told her she would become "like God". It sounds very tempting to believe that in the resurrection a person will no longer be subject to God but will be "like God" and have their own domain to rule over. That's why the Holy Spirit moved the Apostle Paul to write this to his young protege in the faith Timothy.

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

And why Paul warned the believers in Corinth:

2 Corinthians 11:13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
