Being eternally tormented in hell IS being destroyed.

True Christianity teaches what Jesus taught-to the best that's humanly possible. Jesus himself said to fear the one who can destroy your soul in hell-that would be God. It was in the context of teaching not to fear men(like you) who can only destroy the body, but to only fear God, who has the power to send you to eternal punishment.

This is why nothing people like you say matter much to me, because you can only destroy the body. You will NEVER say or do anything to drive a wedge between me and my God.

The soul may be destroyed, but the Spirit of God in all of us cannot. I don't think life in hell would be eternal. I think hell, with all its contents, will eventually be destroyed (Apocalypse 20:14-15), meaning the inhabitants will just be blotted out from existence.

Because the Bible teaches that when you die its either Heaven or Hell, Man can't send your soul to Hell, You send your soul to Hell when you do not accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Salvation is free to all who will accept it. For by grace are you saved thru faith, and not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast. Ephesians chapter 3. On judgement day the book of life will be opened and if your name isnot in it you will be sent by God to the lake of fire with the devil, Thats what the Bible says. Our souls never die, destroy means put to no use, you will do nothing in hell but suffer. Accept Christ today, be born again, go to the foot of the Cross, where Jesus shed his Blood, the Cross set us free, it washed away our sins, cleansed us from all unrighteousnesss if we believe, don't let satan drag you down into the pit, pray this pray today, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

There is no eternal hell. A deity that allows/or sends people to an eternal torment does not deserve to be worshiped or "feared", but shunned and would then hopefully pass into oblivion.

some christians are finally starting to realize that there's not a whole heck of a lot of scriptural support for the idea of an eternal, fiery hell. i'm one of those christians.
