There is a website that gives you those answers.
www.airbagsolutions.com. It is a pay site, but the information is quite valuable
Every car is different, and every manufacturer has different requirements. Although they are often not too difficult to replace, most times they can get expensive.

Most the time the fuse inside the module has blown deploying the air bags. Seems steep $957 for a little electronic box. You might have to buy several used ones to find a good one. Also note after 10 years air bags might work properly. There needs to be a study to find out just how long air bags will last and still safely deploy in a crash. Many Years ago we were told replace the bags every 10 to 11 years? Does anyone as part of a saftey inspection fail non deploied bags for being old?

A Nissan dealer or bodyshop will have info on what needs to be replaced after deployment...usually you have to replace all the components like sensors, modules, SIR coil or ignitor, and airbags to make the system operational again. A service manual will have that info too and it can vary from car to car and year to year. I would be wary of used parts. Kelli is so sweet but a little inaccurate.

you have to change the air bags. its not to hard juust some screws.but getting a new one in is a pain in the butt. if you don't know i am only 12 but trust me my dad is a mechanic. ok so ya you can get an air bag for less than 50 buck on either ebay or at a parts store. ok! good
