Yes its normal, happened with me also, but then i searched on the net and later checked with doc also. Its the old blood which is not used, so no need to worry, take care - dont have sex upto third month and tell your wife not to lift heavy things and drink lots of milk and sleep well.

It depends...if it is justlight spotting and not bright red...it likely could be a normal period...(some do have spotting all the way thru pregancy..I did..but i also was very concered and had my self checked all the time...thank goodness my Dr was so understanding and eased my worries each time)...

but if she gets crampy..more blood coming thru...she should be checked right away...

actually..I would personally go be checked to be on the safe side

good luck to you both!

Spotting can be normal but still should be reported to heath care provider. If it is bright red accompanied by cramping Id advise you to take her to the er. Good luck hope everything turns out ok!

It's normal to have spotting throughout the first trimester. Typically, doctors say to worry about bleeding during the 2nd and 3rd trimester.

she must get checked out of course but this is very common, it happened to me with 2 of my 3 pregnancies and all was fine in the end, in Germany where i had 2 of my children they give you magnesium tablets when you spot, it stopped it completely both times (you should take them until 12 weeks), they don't think theres any benefit in the UK to taking magnesium but i swear it works and it worked for my friends pregnancies, look it up on the internet see what you think and best of luck.

I had very small spotting too and my doc said its normal, as long as it isnt a huge amount, and make sure its not bright red, if so, dont panic, coz i even got that on one occasion!
