Tests during 3rd and 4th month pregnancy?

Hi, I am 2 months pregnant, I had two checkups in last two months. It included blood test , urine test and ultrasound. How many tests will be done in third month ? And also what other tests are important for pregnant lady during 3rd and 4th month?

usually you are done with the major tests for now. (apart from urine and blood preassure which are done at every pre-natal visit)
You will have another ultrasound at 18-20 weeks and then a blood glucose test at 28 weeks but thats about it. all the hard stuff comes at the beginning. the blood glucose check is easy and tests for gestational diabetes. if you are over a certain age (usually 35) you can opt for a amniocentisis test to test for down syndrome but it is really risky and not necessary in women that don't fit the risk category.


Relax and enjoy the pregnancy before its all over. it does go fast and before you know it you will have a little bundle of joy in your arms.

Every time you go to the doctor they will ask for urine and take your blood pressure.

The amount of tests in pregnancy depend on whether you wish to have screening tests done to see if the baby has any abnormalities or if you are experiencing any problems.

Otherwise, you will have at least one more ultrasound between 18-22 weeks that will measure all of the baby's body parts. A glucose tolerance test is usually conducted in the 24 to 28 weeks of pregnancy to check for gestational diabetes.

you will probably have another scan by 4 months, more blood tests and you will have your blood pressure taken and urine tested atevery check up!
