Why do constantly complain about the big bad United States. Your government cant even criticize those "oppressed" radical muslims who want to blow up western society. I guess you want to fight terrorism with "kindness" and "love". Maybe if you are "nice" to these people they will "understand".... and you people want to have some sort of sway with america? bs.
And then you complain about American foreign policy. Did you forget that we saved your arses in WW1, WW2, and the Coldwar? Maybe you wanted the Nazis to win, so you could fulfill your Freudian urge to turn jews to soap. Maybe all of you have secret sexual fantasies of Nazi memorabilia and fidel castro.. ........who knows?
And dont get me started on your tropical utopia communist cuba. I know you love that place and have great admiration for a piece of garbage who oppressed the cuban people for 48 years. the cuban people mean nothing to you, why should the evil united states get rid of your weekend whorehouse.

I really dislike all these abbreviations on this forum , such as LMAO!
But when I read your question I LMAO!!
I could just imagine a great weight being lifted off your chest.
I liked it I wish more of you would have a similar rant and rave.
It is a great subject for debate, in fact many subjects for debate.
I am not going to debate any of them, mainly because although I am 'classed' as a Brit I am a Scot and I am sure you are referring to the English?
In which case I am 100% with you!! Well almost 100%.
You maybe went a bit over the top with the Jew bit? And the nazi lovers bit? In England they do have a very small group BNP who support these ideas but they are nonentities , they can be safely ignored.
The rest of the English (I'm sorry to say) are far beyond redemption !!
Oh just one other thing Cuba?? Not many English folk visit cuba, it is a fair old journey to make, for what?
What has Cuba got that they cant get in Florida? In London the sun is missing but Florida has what ever Cuba has.
Apart from that I am with you 98% of the way.
We may also require a wee bit of help from you folk next time we invade the English, any chance???? Please.
We in Scotland have a very clear line on the map of the UK seperating us from the English , please take particular note of that.

I am not sure where your passion comes from to speak out like this but I don't really think that us Brits have some misguided upper-hand downer of the American people. The Americans are simply like any other nation, struggling to cope in a very difficult world. World tensions have never been higher and we need to stick together to give us half a chance in the current volatility. The Americans are a great race but like the British, we all make mistakes in this world. The Brits have had some great leaders over the years, as have the Americans. Currently, I am aware that the Americans are highly critical of their president and I think that's where current poor opinion of US policy may stem from. A good president can make or break your country. So until that's decided, lets stay allies ... kick the past into touch and move forward. Personally? I have a great passion for American people ....

What a pile of **** you ill educated idiot. It's because of comments like that that we think some of you are so f**kin stupid! Here's an answer that i posted to another inbred on here that explains it all
Spouting off the usual **** that you've been taught in extremely biased American history lessons... well I'll give you a proper history lesson. The US did not kick our 'asses' in the war for independence, they were helped by 2 of the worlds powers of the time, Spain and France (amongst other European countries) who lent their centuries long military experience to the US. It is also worth remembering that Britain's military was out numbered by 250,000 to 100,000 so it goes to show how crap the US forces were for us to be able to hold our own for so long whilst being greatly out numbered. It's like 3 men beating 1 man up and then proudly saying.... 'well we sure kicked his ***!' yeah but you'd have more to brag about if it was a fair fight!!
Secondly, although the US undoubtedly had a positive contribution to the outcome of the second world war (something the English are very grateful for by the way) you didn't come rushing in to save our 'asses' you entered the war (that we had been fighting for the last 2 years already) when Germany declared war on the US and of course because of Pearl Harbour (which you never seem to shut up about as though it was the only tradegy of the war whilst other countries in Europe had been getting bombed into obliteration for the last 2 years). You had no choice but to enter and probably would never have helped us out if it wasn't for that. Fair enough you helped with guns etc from the start but we had to pay the US heavily for this help, which many historians believe was done to cripple the power of Britain, (which was acheived). There were many other people involved in the 2nd world war and way before the US but from talking to Americans anyone would believe that the 2nd world war started in 1941 and they were the only ones involved!!
I'd just like to say that I've got nothing against Americans, infact, I'd rather have you as the super power than anyone else but your biased knowlegde of history is irritating to say the least.

A few points.
First of all, you did not 'save our arses' during ww2. Roosevelt did everything in his power (with the backing of the American people) to stay out of the war. He only entered when Japan bombed Pearl Harbour andGermany declared war on America.
Towards the end of the war, at the Yalta Conference, Roosevelt promissed Stalin funding and support to build Russia up again - never putting his signature or writing it down himself - knowing full well that the American people would never stand for this but was trying to buy time and sort out the Poland situation.
Britain did not get America's help for nothing. She has only just finished paying back those loans - so stop thinking you did us all a favour. It was just business for the Americans. It could be argued that using an atomic bomb when there were other solutions on a country that was being starved into surrender. But the bomb could be used to impress and warn Stalin and in so doing, started the Cold War.
To add to all this, when you do go to war, you fire on your own people or us! so - called 'friendly fire'.
To cap it all, you have a puppet president who is a danger to the USA and the world who says it is 'Gard's' will to behave as he does.
Then you have all those 'religious types' who bring Gard and his will into everything possible - does he also tell them what colour loo roll to buy?
And possibly worst of all, you exported some of the worst childrens and adult TV over the pond to us and McDonalds - that is unforgiveable!!!!!
Seriously, I know most Americans are great, honest people who have enough to deal with in their own country to bother about the rest of the world it's just that their few nutters are louder, gun popping richer and tend to get into positions of power and that is scary!

1. You didn't save anyone "a*se". The USA took part in an ALLIED effort as part of a TEAM. There is no "I" in TEAM.
2. You only got involved because the Japs bombed the sh1t out of Pearl Harbour anyway. Before that you did not give a damn about what happened in Europe. And when you did get involved you spent an awful lot of time bombing our troops through "friendly fire" - something you still do today. As they used to say in WWII:
"When the British bomb, the Germans run
When the Germans bomb, the British run
When the Americans bomb, everybody runs!"
3. As for Cuba and Communism - you talk about "Oppression"? Yes and what does the Capitalist system that you Americans worship so much do? It makes some people very very rich and allows them to oppress the poor way more than anyone in a Communist country is oppressed. You have a country where some people are billionaires and others can't even get medical treatment for a sick child because they can't afford to PAY for it. Thats barbaric and uncivilised.
4. Any country that sees the "right" to keep a gun (ie a weapon that kills) as superior to the right for every man woman and child to access medical care when they need it (regardless of the size of their bank balance) has serious priority issues.

Why we criticise america?
Because it's filled with arrogant gun toting fools like yourself.
If we have "no sway" with america then I have absolutely no idea why we continue to be associated with you. You drag our good name through the mud. Prior to Iraq we were well-respected and known for treating people fairly; no longer.
You didn't save us in WWI. If we'd have lost Germany would never have had the manpower to invade, we'd have just lost another pathetic power struggle like the 19th century was filled with. Everyone saved everyone else in WWII - without the soviets we would have had twice the Germans (at least) to kill, without the French D-day would have been nowhere near as successful, without the Polish the battle of Britain would have been lost, without our fighting before you so generously decided to join us then all of western Europe would have been Nazi, and the USSR would be in serious trouble. How'd you fancy taking on the entirity of Europe? A similar thing happened with the cold war - if the US hadn't done anything to help us then the USSR would have conquered all of Europe - and the US would have had a serious unbalance of power, let alone nobody to trade with.
Cuba is not a Utopia. Cuba is an oppressive regime. But they do do some thing right, namely very good healthcare and education. Do ever stop and think why the people of Cuba don't overthrow their oppressive regime? Because they're very well bribed with some of the benefits of socialism.
"I have no problem with those who appreciate america" - that surely reads as you have no problem with those who suck up, worship and do whatever the US' glorious leader instructs them to do.
Oh and what about all that help we've been giving you destroying "terrorists"? Perhaps it's not appreciated? Maybe you think you could do a better job without those disgusting 'other nations' helping you along? Perhaps you'd like to go it alone? Then you'd better prepare to be drafted.

I thought even the majority of Americans had seen through American foreign policy now, Am I wrong?
WWII. The Americans wanted to stay out of the war, but wasn't adversed to selling Britain some dilapidated warships at inflated prices... you know how the "American Virgin Islands" became American don't you? What brought America into WWII was the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor AND Germany declaring war on America. So thanks for your help in WW2, but it wasn't for the benefit of the British. Your claims for America don't stack up with the evidence!
Or are you talking about recent events in the Middle East? We know that Saddam Hussein had WMD - the invoice receipts could have been found in America. Which country supported and helped Saddam Hussein into power? Wouldn't be America, would it? Or financed Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan? Not the Americans again, surely?
Sorry, but *sometimes* (i.e. not always) American foreign policy stinks, but so does British foreign policy sometimes stink, whether it is supportive of American foreign policy or not.
As for Cuba, it can't be worse there now than when it was totally corrupted by foreign American Mafiosi, can it?
What was your question?
PS "Intellectual" means "thinking" - thanks for the compliment, I wouldn't have considered myself an intellectual! OTOH It does suggest that your opinion is that Americans don't think - that's unfair, some do!

We do use our intellect quite often as we find this has better results than being just a gun - ho happy fiery nation, after all we have .I notice you seem to converse in ENGLISH, you live in a "Democracy" I think by just exactly what you have written shows why we have this idea that your not very astute, Now get off answers and go and find a good History course so you can educate yourself, so you can loose the attitude and live along side the rest of the world ( you sound very anal retentive )

You, my friend, are a dick. I'm American, by the way, and I'd like to apologize for this asshole. I wish Americans like you didn't exist to insult the integrity of the rest of us. I wonder what fueled this hate filled rant. Some God-forsaken country song? Or perhaps a Republican Party rally of some kind? You people are closer to the Nazis than England has ever been.
We saved asses in the world wars, yeah, but we came in late, only when we were defended, and tried to make a big deal about it. Until then the news about Jews being exterminated, and blacks and catholics and gays, was just hearsay and we didn't care. Face it, we're a greedy country and we always have been. Even today people like you try to hog the glory for the US all to ourselves. We're a great nation, but your ignorance is much more amazing.
Also, Mordent, I couldn't help but notice you said England was known for treating everyone fairly, but I think there are plenty of post-colonial nations that would beg to differ. Just saying. I'm not opposed to England in any way, but I think your foreign policy today is still stained with lots of blood and imperialist tendencies. Not that America's hands are any cleaner. But don't write yourselves off as completely guilt-free.
