Today I had a salad an a health drink called naked all natural super food. It's the green one with kiwi broccoli chlorella, spirulina, echinacea and a whole bunch of other plants that are supposed to be good for you. But after eating it an hour later, I had a really bad headache and sore throat that turned into a fever. I am getting hot and cold over and over. I tried sleeping but i felt nauseated when I laid down. So i have been sitting up for 3 hours wondering when the headache will stop. I took 2 tynenol 500mg and my headache went away a little but it is still bad. I don't know if I have the chills or if I am getting sick. I hope it's not what I ate but I don't know for sure. I put on a whole bunch of clothes to see If I need to sweat it on, and it's working a little but I still don't know what it is. I've been drinking tea with a little ginger, I am light headed and my bones ache really bad like I the morning after a hard workout. I am getting worried. I don't know what it is.

It's quite possible you have an allergic reaction to all of these health food supplements. But it could also be flu with the fever; nausea and sore throat and headaches.and achy all over. If it's the flu; you'll be fine with rest and fluids and soe throat lozenges and antihistaminics.

However, if it's a toxic reaction you definitely have to be seen by an internist.before your food poisoning or severe allergic reaction turns into septicemia.

People who have food allergies must identify and prevent them because, although usually mild and not severe, these reactions can cause devastating illness and, in rare instances, be fatal .

The allergens in food allergies have components that are responsible for an allergic reaction. They are proteins that usually resist the heat of cooking, the acid in the stomach, and the intestinal digestive enzymes. As a result, the allergens survive to cross the gastrointestinal lining, enter the bloodstream, and go to target organs, causing allergic reactions throughout the body. The mechanism of food allergy involves the immune system and heredity

sounds like the beginning of a flu.

try Airborne, it always seems to work for me, especially at the beginnings of colds. it's really nothing but vitamins and herbs in a effervescent tablet (think Centrum + Alka Seltzer) and probably just re-hydrates you (i'm not entirely sure how it works) but it works wonders.

trust me, take one as directed, take a nap and see if you don't feel 100% better.

i think you have the flu and the way you are feeling has nothing to do with what you ate.
take care of yourself, stop worrying and take it easy while your body fights this thing.
btw, i have found that while tylenol works betters for fever, advil works better for pain/headache.

If it was food poisoning, you'd be throwing up and/or having diarrhea. Sounds more like flu to me.

Make sure you keep hydrated, and get well soon!
