I hate it when a waiter rushes over to the table while I'm in the middle of a conversation and interrupts whoever is speaking in order to ask if we want something.
I hate it when a waiter never bothers to refill drinks.
I hate it when a waiter shouts something across to me from a distance instead of walking over to the table.
I hate it when a waiter has seen me a dozen times in the past, yet fails to recognize me as someone he has waited on before.
I hate it when a waiter flirts with the girl I have with me.
I hate it when a waiter allows customers to sit for an extremely long time without taking an order.
I hate it when a waiter hands the menus across and immediately asks what you wish to order without giving time to look at the menu.
I hate it when a waiter forgets to deliver the order and it arrives cold.
Waiting tables is an art. The "don't do" list is long, but if a waiter has some common sense, I tip him generously. If not, he gets 15%.

take it none of these answers come from people who have been a waiter/waitress before...
I really don’t mind servers making mistakes and take a long time to do something when it’s busy.
But what really ticks me of is when I do get bad service and they stand around and ignore me.

Ya! I hate the tea thing too! I drink alot of tea..at least 3-5 glasses and tonight this Japanese lady made me wait 0ver 30mins for tea!!!!

Asks if you need anything, right after you take a big bite, and all you can do is point and grunt. It always makes me feel so uncouth.

late to bring the order for one hour and then they come to you and say sorry but we don't have the food that you order because we run out of ingredients would you like to order something else... Well that happen to me and I went to Mc Donalds because I was hungry...
