Where on earth did you hear that, i lived in Spain for 18 months and loads of people had sky so i think you`ll find it will be fine and is perfectly legal...

Its not illegal - ie it is not a crime and you cannot be arrested for it. But it does break Sky's contractual terms so you are in breach of contract. This means Sky could sue you or terminate the service without notice or compensation. People who have Sky there just take that risk.

Sky have no real choice about the UK only restriction because the copyright holders of the shows it airs insist on it. In theory they could pursue action as well.
