After the computer is shut down the light inside the mouse stays on. Is there a way to disable the power in the mouse.Its an usb mouse with wheel in the middle-no ball.
I have even tried looking in Bios but dont understand it.I have windows XP. I dont have a mouse setting in my Power Options in control panel.

It gets its power from the +5V standby rail of power supply. That rails is ALWAYS ON as long as PC is plugged to AC main. You can turn it off by switching off the power strip or the AVR if you are using one or just unplug the PC.

If your mouse isn't wireless and your computer is turned off...you could either unplug your mouse from the computer or turn off the wall switch.
