Hi..

I just realized that pregnant women should not use hot saunas or hot springs. But, before I found out that I was pregnant (about 3 weeks into my pregnancy), I went to a hot springs and soaked in there for about half an hour.

Will my baby be at risk for neural tube defects?

Thats a difficult call but most would say that if it was something you did so early that you did not know there is little chance it did much damage. Of course there are no garentees. A half hour really isn't that long...the first time I read you message I thought it had said three and half... that could have been worse. Still, the weekend before I realized I was pregnant I got drunk and worry now that that may have had an effect. Seriously though, your diet at the time of your early pregnancy has a higher chance of causing problems for your very young pregnancy than a half hour of high temp water. I am sure you will be fine and trully hope my response has made you feel a little better. Good luck, and remember there are tests you can have done to try and detect those problems!

thats a bit hard to say but if your still going strong and ultrasounds don't show anything then I wouldn't worry.

I went to a theme park (Movie World in Australia) before I found out I was pregnant the 2nd time and went on all the roller coasters! my son was fine!

don't stress about something you can't control anymore now. whats done is done but i highly doubt anything will happen from it.
best of luck and congrats!
